00:34Administration sealed over 16 in Udham Singh Nagar district and 2 in Haridwar.
00:40So far, over 100 in total have been locked in the entire state.

00:52What has triggered the government's decision?
00:55Where all are primarily these madarsas are, where they have been shut and why?
01:25in Uttarakhand and so far, it is believed that more than 300 illegal madarsas might
01:43be running in the state and going further against the illegal operations of these madarsas.
01:53Uttarakhand is taking action and have sealed more than 110 madarsas across the state and
02:00the maximum comes from Dehradun which stands at 92.
02:05So these madarsas are being checked every day and according to the details received
02:12so far, every day at least 4 and 5 madarsas are being sealed in various districts.
02:18The government says that they are not going to stop here.
02:21They are going to completely wipe out the illegal network of madarsas and mazars.
02:27So far, CM Ghami also said earlier that they have razzed the encroachments on government
02:33land and which totals to more than 3000 acres so far.
02:38And going further on madarsas action, the government will ensure that none of the illegal
02:47madarsas are being run in the state.
02:48So this crackdown primarily, as the government says, is on illegally operated madarsas.
02:52These are specific Islamic schools.
02:54Remember that there are government operated as well but these are the ones, as the administration
02:59says, had no registration or prior information about how and why were they running in the
03:04state of India.
