A bride has transformed her wedding dress scraps into two bags - for $200 - so she could "re-wear it".
Morgan Hafeman, 26, was left with lots of waste material after having her $5,000 lace wedding dress altered.
Her seamstress, Andrea Richter, came up with the idea to make a purse out of the excess lace.
Morgan was able to take the bag on her honeymoon with her new husband Ryan Hafeman, 28, who works in IT.
After being left with even more scrap she decided to get a new bag made in December 2024 - opting for a clutch style.
Morgan is delighted with the new bag and can't wait to take it on her anniversary trip.

00:00Brides, this is your sign to have your wedding dress scraps turned into a purse. This was the first purse
00:05I had made. My seamstress actually made this for me,
00:08which was super nice because I was able to pick it up when I picked up my wedding dress for my wedding day,
00:14which means I was able to use this on my honeymoon. So it's so special. It's so cute.
00:19I think it's such a fun, unique shape,
00:21and it is truly the perfect size for an anniversary dinner, a special occasion, or just anything.
00:28So I'm obsessed with it. After my first purse, I still had some more wedding dress scraps left over,
00:33so I ended up finding a seller on Etsy to make me this one.
00:37I love this one because it's definitely like more of your traditional purse clutch style, and I can use it in two different ways.
00:43I can use it as a clutch, or I can use it as a purse.
00:46I also love this one because I had her add in mine and my husband's name and our wedding date.
00:51So take this as your sign to turn your wedding dress scraps into a purse.
00:55I think it's like the perfect sentimental way to remember your wedding day,
00:59and I can't wait to use these for like our anniversary dinners, anniversary trips, any special occasions
01:04we have, and then even potentially pass these down to any future daughters.
