Take a tour around Gainsborough Model Railway

00:00So our journey starts at King's Cross, and this is a representation of the real King's

00:06Cross. If you go to King's Cross today, you'll still see this building. It still looks like

00:10this, although ours is a bit shorter, because even though we've got all this space, we can't

00:14fit a full-size one in. And so, from King's Cross, we set off through Gasworks Tunnel,

00:21and then we go round to Hornsea, our first station out of King's Cross. From King's Cross,

00:25our next station is Hornsea, and this is where all the goods trains from Fern Park

00:30also join the main layout. So, busy junction. We've got a newly built diesel depot here

00:35to represent the changing times. Used to be a steam engine shed. And we've also got a

00:40carriage sidings for King's Cross, so lots of trains coming and going. And as we pass

00:44through Hornsea, then underneath the railway there, and eventually we'll come out round

00:50here at Hatfield, which is our next station.
