00:00A $2.3 million two-year-old and a TDN Rising Star on debut, Arabian Night was the star
00:09from the get-go and in 2025 he'll begin his stud career.
00:13Here John Secura tells us why the Grade 1 winner was the right fit for Hill and Dale.
00:24I was at Keeneland when Arabian Night broke his maiden and I was hugely impressed.
00:29He ran very fast, he won very easily, there was an aura about the horse.
00:34I was aware of the horse because he was such an expensive two-year-old and high-profile
00:39horse, but when he broke his maiden I said, wow, that's a horse that if there's any way
00:44I need to have that horse.
00:46Arabian Night, 16th pole, Arabian Night, John Velasquez to get things started on Saturday
00:51at Breeders' Cup at Keeneland.
00:53I went to see the horse as a three-year-old and Bob said, oh, you're here to see Arabian
00:59Night?
01:00I said, yeah.
01:01He said, I'm going to show you the perfect horse.
01:04He said, now just watch this and he pulled the horse out and went sort of head-to-toe
01:08explaining.
01:09He said, if you can have the template of this horse in your mind, that's the best kind of
01:14horse you can ever buy, right here, standing right in front of you.
01:18Winning the Pacific Classic, beating older horses, is a hard thing to achieve.
01:24Going a mile and a quarter, beating mature older horses, I think that was a real testament
01:29to not only his ability, but his will and his grit and his determination to get to the
01:35line first.
01:37He was early, he was brilliant, he's beautiful.
01:39He's Bayan Komo, who is emerging to be a really, really important sire of sires.
01:44Tragically, we lost him too soon.
01:47It's an honor to send a great, one-winning son of Uncle Mo with all the attributes he
01:53has and the physicality and ability here, so we hope he's one of the chosen few to carry
02:00on this great legacy of Uncle Mo.
02:02Probably the most popular horse that we've ever had come to stud, you know, in day one
02:09we were just swamped with requests, because you always have hope and expectation that
02:14your horse will be popular, but there's always a reason someone can critique your horse.
02:19But in his case, it's been really overwhelming, almost unanimous support for him, which is
02:27great for the horse and great for the farm.
