00:00Mary McCulloch was my first ever employee.
00:23She helped me build a company.
00:24When I went on my own, the first person I hired was Mary, and she was instrumental helping
00:28me build the company.
00:30Sadly, soon after her retirement, she developed cancer and soonly passed, unfortunately.
00:36And when I had this opportunity to name a horse by Frankel, who obviously was my mentor,
00:42and when I left Frankel, Mary was the first person that I hired, I thought it was fitting
00:46to name this beautiful Frankel filly after Mary.
00:50And the Klarmans were so nice to let me do it.
00:54We've had some spectacular November sales in recent years.
00:57We've had some spectacular offerings, and this is the first time we've had an opportunity
01:01to celebrate one winning daughter of Frankel, and we're very appreciative of Seth Klarman,
01:06Klarman Stables, and Chad Brown of having that opportunity.
01:09He's by the greatest sire in the world today.
01:12He's actually ranked globally the number one sire in the world, and has been for some time,
01:17Frankel.
01:18Extraordinary stallion, never beaten, 14 for 14 on the race course.
01:23And as a stallion, he's the first horse in history.
01:26The fastest horse in history to reach 100 graded or group winners, which is an extraordinary
01:31feat.
01:32He's already sired 39 group one winners.
01:35When you look at her overall race record, it fills up most of the catalog page.
01:40She's been consistent, she's been outstanding, she's been durable.
01:46All the superlatives that you want to use to describe a race filly, she fits those bills.
01:53Mike and Mary Ryan go over to Tattersalls for me every year and scout the horses, and
01:57actually this was the year of COVID where I couldn't get in to the country myself.
02:03Mike and Mary really picked this one all on their own.
02:04I wasn't able to go this year.
02:07From the start, they just thought she was a really attractive horse that would do in
02:10America.
02:12We've been to Europe every year now for eight years, and I don't think I've ever seen a
02:16Frankel filly look as good, be as nice as McCoolick.
02:21She's got so much elegance, presence, and quality about her, and I stand by that.
02:27I don't think I've ever seen a Frankel look like this filly.
02:30When people see her, they will appreciate what I'm saying.
02:32She will fit so many styles because her quality is extraordinary, and obviously her race record
02:39is outstanding as well.
02:41I'd say her Belmont Oaks is right at the top of the list.
02:44I thought that that race was terrific in the way she went and ran down a really, really
02:49top class horse.
02:50It was a really true grade one, very solid field, and a close finish between two grade
02:56one fillies at the end.
02:58She's had so many nice races and memorable races, but that would be at the top.
03:02McCoolick has taken the lead in deep stretch, and it will be McCoolick with a Router Tees
03:08Junior.
03:09She's got tremendous pedigree.
03:12She's a half sister to two graded stakes winners, and out of a graded stakes performing mare,
03:17she's got the quality of the pedigree that the collectors are looking for.
03:22She's certainly a collector type of pedigree and a collector type of race horse.
03:27When I look for young horses to buy at the sales, at the top of my list is if the mare
03:32was sound and a high level race horse, and was a good looking horse, and McCoolick's
03:37all those things.
03:39As far as her appeal in the marketplace, I could see the biggest operations all over
03:44the world that race on turf interested in this horse.
03:48I don't see any particular owner at that level or operation that wouldn't love to have her
03:54in the Broomer Band.
