00:00Sir Winston is Crestwood's first American Classic winner. He won the Belmont and we're looking
00:16forward to his first foals arriving this year. Tracy Farmer was kind enough to honor us with
00:24standing this horse here. It's a big deal for us. We take it seriously and we're trying to get the
00:29best mare as we can for the horse. Sir Winston was a stakes winner at two, three, he even won
00:34stakes at five. He was sound, he had a long productive career. He won a million two. The
00:41Belmont in America is a race that you need tactical speed to win. It's not just a staying
00:48race and like when you see Sir Winston in that race, he comes off the rail, he makes a huge move,
00:54he passes War of Will, he wears down Tacitus. He beat some really, really good horses in the
01:00Belmont. And then tacks between horses, Master Fencer on the far outside, they're coming to
01:05the finish and Sir Winston has won the Belmont Stakes. He developed early and hopefully breeders
01:12will see that he was precocious and was able to have a nice long career and was sound as well.
01:19We're hoping that he'll have some precocious two-year-olds and just be off to a really good
01:24start at stud with his first crop. His first book is pretty impressive. Tracy Farmer, who
01:31breeding a bunch of mares to the horse, he bought some really, really nice mares, top-class mares,
01:36six-figure type mares to support him. We've had a few foals that we've seen, we've been really
01:43impressed with them. They've got the qualities that you would hope for. I mean, they've got leg,
01:48they've got some scope, they've got a good body, nice top lines. Hopefully, we'll keep being
01:54impressed with them. Sir Winston's sire line is an unbroken chain of elite sires, from Northern
02:02Dancer to Vice Regent to Deputy Minister to Awesome Again. Considering that Awesome Again sired 14
02:08grade one winners, a dozen millionaires, he's got sons that have sired grade one winners. Oxbow,
02:16Painter, and of course, Gosap are one of the fastest horses of the modern era. If you look
02:22at his female family, it's an E.P. Taylor family from Canada. The first three dams are all stakes
02:29winners. The family goes back to Wooloo Mooloo, who was the champion herself. There's a lot of
02:35soundness in that family, if you look at how many starts all those horses made. So, I think top and
02:41bottom sire line and female family, it has it all, really. If you look at him, he is atypical of
02:48what you would think his pedigree is. He's tall, he's scopey, he's got a long body, and Awesome
02:54Again was a smaller horse, and a Fleet Alex was a smaller horse. So, I think people are surprised
02:59at how tall and leggy he is when they see him. For somebody that has a compact, short-legged,
03:06stocky type mare, I think he's the type of horse that'll give you some scope and leg.
03:11I'm impressed with how correct he is. His knees are really, really great.
03:15That whole deputy minister line, you get a lot of really nice, good bone,
03:18beautiful pastern angles. First crop of mares were fantastic, and we're looking forward to just
03:24keeping him booked and looking forward to his first crop.
