00:00If you've been paying attention to the market, you have probably seen that Tesla shares have
00:03been hit pretty hard.
00:06There's a lot of questions around this, particularly as the stock has apparently moved into oversold
00:10territory.
00:11But is that the question?
00:13Do we want to be owning Tesla shares today?
00:17And I think the reality is that we will need to get through at least the company's March
00:22delivery numbers, which, based on what we're seeing with boycotts and other pushbacks,
00:28they could disappoint.
00:29I would let the worst of the news be priced into the shares before revisiting.
00:34One of the questions I often get about Tesla is, is it a near-term play, or do you see
00:38it as a longer-term play?
00:40In the near term, I think the company might have some challenges as folks kind of continue
00:45to push back on the company, relating to some of the efforts with Elon Musk and Doge.
00:53But I think as we step back and take a longer-term view, the question over autonomous driving
00:59is the one that we need to focus in on.
01:01Do I think that long-term, call it the next five, six years, that autonomous driving will
01:06continue to move forward, and Tesla is a prime candidate for that?
01:11That I think is the long-term opportunity.
01:14When it comes to Tesla, one of the questions that we have to entertain is Elon Musk.
01:19He's extremely spread thin, in my opinion, whether it's at SpaceX, whether it's Doge,
01:27whether it's Neuralink, or, of course, Tesla, or the Boring Company, and whatever else Elon
01:31Musk might be doing.
01:33My preference would be to see Elon Musk refocus his efforts on Tesla, perhaps stepping away
01:39from one, two, or even more of those other initiatives that he has, again, so he can
01:45focus on Tesla and guide the company into the future.
