00:00Today, I want to take everybody of my age back to their childhood with these products
00:14that I picked up in Iceland, which seems to always have some novelty items. So this is
00:23instantly recognisable, this is the Barrett's fruit salad, and that's a Barrett's banana
00:33flavour, they're both yoghurts, based on the penny sweets that you will remember from your
00:39childhood. They took my eye because they are quite nicely packaged, they've got like a
00:46little sucky sports top thing there. I thought they looked quite fun, I do love a fruit salad,
00:54not fussed about the banana one, it's okay, but I am particularly interested in this one.
00:59They were £1.50 each, with a saving of 50p each, so they were meant to be £2, which
01:05I think is quite expensive for a yoghurt, especially in Iceland. Iceland Warehouse,
01:11I don't know if they've got them in the normal Icelands. But yeah, so I'm going to open them
01:17both and see what I think, but I will just mention, obviously they're going to be very
01:23sugary, it goes with the territory, but this one, the fruit salad one, has 238 calories
01:29in this packet, which is 150g, it's not huge, and this one is 237 calories, again, the same
01:38size, so let's get into it. Starting with this one, I'm going to put it a bit on a spoon,
01:43no one wants to see me sucking it out of here. So yeah, I mean, I will be honest and say
01:52that I've got two of these, my son has had one, he's loved it, he's absolutely raving
01:57about it, but he did say that they were difficult to actually get out of the nozzle, so anyway,
02:04I'm going to put it on a spoon and show you what it looks like. Okay, so that's the colour,
02:12fruit salads are two colours, aren't they? So that does look like one of the two colours,
02:16and yeah, the flavour is raspberry and pineapple, if you've ever wondered what a fruit salad
02:21is meant to taste of. It smells like a yoghurt, it's got that dairy smell, I can't smell much
02:29fruit, obviously not fruit, fruit flavouring, but anyway, here we go.
02:41That's genuinely the first time I've tried it, and I will say there is a hint of fruit salad,
02:48but it's not very strong at all, it's pleasant, but you do have to search for that fruit salad
02:55flavour. It's nice, and I would eat all of that, because it is a nice flavour, but it's just not
03:05very strong flavour. It's, yeah, ever so slightly disappointing, but let's get onto the banana one.
03:16Right, it does say by the way you've got to shake them, which I have done, so this is the more
03:21banana-y one. Now, this is a bit more boring in my opinion, because you do get a lot of banana
03:27flavour yoghurts, don't you? Anyway, we'll see. Again, not a very strong smell at all there.
03:37Oh, sorry, looks like the same colour, doesn't it look like the same colour?
03:44Right, I'll have to go and clean that up. There we go again, so it looked,
03:49so yeah, please be careful when you're eating these. So yeah, the colour looks just the same
03:55as the last one, no strong smell, other than it smells of yoghurt, if you know what that smells
04:01like, so let's see. Okay, now that one is disappointing. That tastes like any other
04:14banana-flavoured yoghurt I've ever had in my entire life, and actually it reminds me of,
04:21you know, the Muller Crunch Corners, where you get like a banana-flavoured yoghurt, and then
04:27the corner bit is like cornflakes coated in chocolate, and then you mix them all in. That's
04:34what it tastes like, but I've had that a million times in my life, so yeah, pass on that one,
04:40especially if it's going to be two pounds, but this one's okay. This one is okay, like I said
04:47before, slightly disappointing that it's not a stronger taste, but there is a definite fruit
04:51salad taste there, and if you're not bothered about the sugar and the calories and the price,
04:57and you want a bit of a retro dessert, a bit of fun, then there you go, Food Warehouse by Iceland.
