The government aims to have 500 schools adopted by corporate and government-linked companies (GLCs), says Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

Speaking at his weekly press conference, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim set the target during Wednesday’s (March 19) Cabinet meeting.

He added that the Education Ministry would oversee the initiative, with Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) already committing to adopt 20 schools.
