00:00One of the programs that is a must for us at KPDN is the Maximum Holiday Scheme.
00:25This morning, I spoke at the Ministerial Assembly about the implementation of this program for Adil Fitri.
00:35The Ministerial Assembly has also taken note.
00:38So, I would like to inform you that for the Maximum Holiday Scheme,
00:45we have concluded the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 2025 through a series of discussions involving the Ministry of Agriculture and Industry.
00:57We have decided that this program will begin in force on 24th March until 7th April 2025.
01:08The implementation will last for 15 days, which is 7 days before Eid al-Fitr, 1 day during Eid al-Fitr,
01:17and 7 days after Eid al-Fitr.
01:21So, in total, it will last for 15 days.
01:25And Alhamdulillah, in terms of items, we have tried to add items.
01:35This time, there are 26 items.
01:42It has increased from 22 items in last year's implementation,
01:50including the addition of 4 items.
01:54And also, the 3 most important items for me that were previously an issue.
02:00First, for example, last year, in Shawwal,
02:05last year, we did not include the small shallots of India and small shallots of India Rose in this scheme
02:17because last year, we faced a huge supply problem when India implemented export restrictions.
02:27But Alhamdulillah, these 2 types of shallots can be included in the Shawwal or Eid al-Fitr 2025 scheme.
02:39So, there are 2 types, which are small shallots of India and small shallots of India Rose.
02:47And another one is coconut milk.
02:50We know that at the end of last February, we faced a supply problem
02:58where the price of coconut milk, for example, went up to RM22 for 1 kilogram.
03:09So, it was very burdensome due to the supply problem,
03:14not only the supplies imported from abroad, from Indonesia in particular,
03:20there was a disruption also to domestic supplies in this region of Malaysia.
03:27So, we have discussed with the Ministry of Agriculture,
03:32and Alhamdulillah, the Ministry of Agriculture, through FAMA,
03:37has intervened and imported from abroad,
03:43including supplies from Sabah and Sarawak, brought to Malaysia.
03:49So, Alhamdulillah, the supplies are relatively stable now.
03:55However, we decided that we also need to include coconut milk in the scheme,
04:03the maximum price for this Eid al-Fitr 2025.
04:06Because we are worried, even though the supplies are relatively stable,
04:10but before Shawwal, we are worried that there will be a price increase.
04:16So, whether we want it or not, we will consider it.
04:19And Alhamdulillah, the right-wing parties also finally agreed
04:24to include coconut milk in this scheme,
04:29apart from seeded coconuts and grated coconuts.
04:32So, for example, what I said earlier that coconut milk
04:36was priced at RM22.50 at the end of February,
04:44but for this scheme, we put the maximum price
04:48for coconut milk in Senanjung Malaysia at RM17.50.
04:55And for Sabah and Sarawak, it is cheaper,
04:58because there are domestic supplies in Sabah and Sarawak.
05:01In Sabah, for example, it is at RM12,
05:10and for Sarawak, it is at RM9, and for Labuan, it is at RM15.
05:15So, we are grateful because of the issue of seeded coconuts,
05:20grated coconuts, coconut milk, cooking oil, and bottle packaging,
05:25we were able to handle it before this Eid season.
05:30So, we hope that the people can benefit from this programme,
05:37and as I announced today, we will publish the list of items
05:43on certain platforms, including the KPDN website.
05:50Thank you very much, because there is a price difference
05:53depending on the region, and also depending on the level
05:58whether it is seeded or seeded.
