00:00Food Terminal Incorporated is now arranging their direct purchase of pork to sell it to the public at a cheaper price.

00:11Food Terminal Incorporated is now planning the program where the FTI will directly buy the pork to sell it at a cheaper price.

00:19One of the plans is that the FTI will also buy pork from the market and since it's made from rice, it won't be wasted because it doesn't have many layers, they can intervene at a cheaper price.

00:39According to the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Budget and Management has approved the funds for this.

00:45This will also serve as a government intervention if the compliance level is still low for the maximum suggested retail price of pork in the coming weeks.

00:53Based on 170 monitored stalls of the DA, the compliance level of retailers in pork MSRP is 20% since it was implemented last week, while the compliance level is only 67% at P300 per head.

01:07The DA and pork industry stakeholders will help to see the reason for the low percentage of compliance at P300 per head,

01:14especially since the layers it goes through, from pork producers to retailers, are less compared to imported rice that was first imported by the MSRP.

01:24The pork should comply faster with the MSRP. This is a good study.

01:33According to the DA, they are just waiting for the final approval for the implementation of the so-called FTI program.

01:40Meanwhile, the compliance level of 49 pesos maximum suggested retail price is 40-45% at 5% broken imported rice.

01:50The DA will lower the MSRP of rice to 45 pesos at the end of March.

01:55The government is also calling for the NFA to return the authority for a faster process of releasing rice.

02:02We are also appealing to our legislatures to return the NFA's authority, at least for the regulatory and market interventions.

02:13Like this, you need a declaration of emergency to continue the purchase of rice and the sale of rice.

02:23The DA is reminding the local governments in the upcoming 45-day election campaign period that even though the NFA has issued a common leg exemption for the sale of rice,

02:33it is prohibited to sell it at a lower or higher price of 33 pesos and it is also prohibited to be free.
