00:21However, investigators now confirm that Arakawa made phone calls to a medical clinic on February
00:2712, a day after her previously assumed death date.
00:31According to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office, Arakawa made three calls to Cloudberry
00:36Health, a concierge medical service, on the morning of February 12.
00:41The clinic called her back to confirm the appointment for later that day, but she never
00:45answered the call.
00:46Dr. Josia Child, the lead physician at Cloudberry Health, told BBC that Arakawa reported feeling
00:53congested but showed no signs of respiratory distress.
00:57She had later scheduled and then cancelled a February 12 appointment, citing the need
01:02to care for Hackman, who had Alzheimer's.
01:04Arakawa's cause of death was identified as Hantavirus, a rare disease transmitted through
01:10rodentropics, which can cause severe respiratory issues.
01:14Meanwhile, Hackman passed away from heart disease on February 18, spending days alone
01:19in the house with his wife's body, and couple's dog, Zina, who was also found dead, reportedly
01:25from dehydration and starvation.
