00:00Well, my argument is that we should have every step should be taken by the federal government
00:09and frankly by the state governments as well to keep Australians safe.
00:12My argument is that if somebody has committed a terrorist attack against Australian citizens
00:17or if you've got a pedophile who has sexually violated 12 Australian children, is the Prime
00:23Minister arguing that that person should remain as a citizen of our country?
00:27I believe that we should do everything within the law to make sure that we keep Australians
00:32safe.
00:33As the Home Affairs Minister, I cancelled the visas of over 6,000 people, people who
00:38have committed murder, people who have committed sexual offences against children, rape against
00:41women, domestic violence and serious drug importation and other crimes.
00:47This government has dropped the ball and hasn't been cancelling the visas to that extent and
00:52we're a less safe community as a result of that.
00:54The government's allowed 3,000 people in from Gaza on visas that would be issued to
01:01a normal tourist coming to our country.
01:03The requisite security checks weren't done.
01:06The Albanese government has dropped the ball and has made our country less safe and Australians
01:10at the moment who are worried about crime and law and order know that we will be seeking
01:14a mandate at the next election from the Australian people to keep Australians safe and to make
01:19communities safer than what they currently are and the Prime Minister doesn't have the
01:22strength of leadership to be able to lead our country and provide the options that we
01:27need to adopt to keep Australians safe.
01:30I've spent my lifetime as a police officer and in Parliament protecting women and children
01:35and I'm not going to shy away from it and if the Prime Minister of our country is not
01:39capable of having a debate and a conversation about the options available to us to keep
01:44our country safe, then I don't think he's worthy of his office.
