Does being rich mean being happy?
Amanda ran into her ex during dinner with her friend. Connor was cheerful and polite, reminiscing about their past. Amanda on the other hand, upon seeing that he was now “just some hobo”, turned rude. She was mean and praised herself for leaving Connor before he became poor. Amanda’s friend didn’t side with her. She tried to diffuse the situation by simply being kind to Connor. And Amanda didn’t like it. She started to shame her mate, claiming she must be extremely foolish to even talk to a homeless guy.
Amanda’s friend kept quiet, ignoring her bitterness. She turned to Connor and asked him out on a date. But she’d soon regret it.
