00:00Senator Ronald Bato de la Rosa will allow him to remain in the Senate if he is arrested by the International Criminal Court.

00:07According to Senate President Chis Escudero,

00:09Escudero, who played the role of de la Rosa in the war on drugs when he was the chief of the Davao City Police from 2012 to 2013,

00:17and PNP chief from 2016 to 2018,

00:20Escudero said that institutional courtesy is the basis of his commitment to de la Rosa.

00:26Even though his stay in the Senate is not indefinite or unlimited.

00:29It is not based on the law, but based on the so-called institutional courtesy.

00:38The Senate will not allow the arrest of any member of the Senate,

00:45especially if there is a session.

00:48I told him that we will try to afford him every opportunity to avail of legal remedies that he is entitled to.
