The Sabah Wildlife Department is yet to be able to ascertain if a crocodile was killed after a ranger was seen in a viral video shooting towards the reptile at the popular Tanjung Aru beach in Kota Kinabalu.

00:07Beach in Sabah has gone viral on social media.
00:11The Sabah Wildlife Department is still unsure if the crocodile was hit or killed.
00:16According to the department's director, Mohamed Sofian Abu Bakar, two shots were fired at
00:21around 2pm on Sunday at two different spots, namely Beach 1 and Beach 3.
00:27However, he said no crocodile carcass had been found.
00:35On Sunday, the crocodile was spotted near the shore, leading authorities to put up a
00:39red flag warning to keep picnickers away from the sea.
00:43Efforts to locate the reptile are being undertaken by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force.
