00:00The actions of an individual in Johor who was claimed to have attacked a Chinese man for eating in a public place during Ramadan will be investigated on charges of deliberately causing injury, said the Minister of State Affairs, Aden Akodagang.
00:19In an interview with X, Aden said that the victim made a report at the police station after the incident, which was claimed to have happened in a shopping mall in New Johor.
00:29It can be said that the police will investigate this case under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which stipulates a maximum sentence of one year in prison, a fine of up to RM2,000 or both if convicted.
00:43Aden insisted that such actions cannot be allowed to spread in a country that adheres to the principle of national security.
00:51Previously, the victim, through a delivery in the application, claimed that the incident occurred when he wanted to enjoy food in a shopping mall, before the residents of Master Babit asked him whether he was Muslim or not.
01:06He said the man then asked to see his ID card.
01:10He claimed that the man became angry because he ate in a public place during fasting, then attacked him several times.
