National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is hosting the annual Global Intelligence Chiefs meeting in India, where he held bilateral talks with US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Intelligence leaders from countries including Canada and the UK are attending, with discussions focused on global security, Khalistani issues, and intelligence sharing.
Transcript
00:00India and the United States of America are ensuring they come together this time with regard to a stronger bilateral relationship.
00:07And that is one of the reasons that you see that National Security Advisor Ajit Dowar, Tulsi Gabbard,
00:13who is currently, remember, handling the whole intelligence network, she's the chief for that,
00:18in many ways the counterpart, holding bilateral talks, they are joining a certain global intelligence chief meeting.
00:26This is big. India is now part of a global intelligence chief's meeting,
00:31and USA and India have, of course, their own share of network,
00:36but to come together to possibly a part of a global intelligence chief,
00:40we are looking at similar concerns when it comes to terrorism, when it comes to jihadist extremism,
00:46other global issues when it comes to, let's say, the terror groups that have been targeting as much India,
00:52especially the Jammu Kashmir region.
00:55Are we also looking at how Pakistan will possibly be treated with this regard?
00:59That's the big news coming in right now, that Tulsi Gabbard,
01:04who's heading the intelligence agencies right now with regard to the United States of America,
01:08and National Security Advisor Ajit Dowar are currently holding bilateral talks
01:13and joining to join a global intelligence chief meeting.
01:22Gita Mohan is joining me for the latest on that.
01:31Gita, good morning. Tell me more about this.
01:34I find it very interesting because I'm sure we do have our own share of facts and intelligence network,
01:40but are we looking at a broader global chief meeting here?
01:44Well, that's right.
01:47The global intelligence chief meeting is something that National Security Advisor Ajit Dowar
01:52has been hosting for a few years now, and every year it's an annual event
01:56where India invites intelligence chiefs from various countries,
02:01and then they sit and discuss various important security concerns and matters.
02:06In this case, Dowar meets with them on the sidelines for bilateral meetings.
02:14In this case, he is meeting Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence of the United States of America,
02:20followed by the meetings that he will have with other intelligence chiefs as well.
02:25The Canadians are also here. Brits are here.
02:28So, yes, a major part of the conversation could also focus on Khalistan and Khalistani concerns that India has,
02:35and the intelligence gathering to do with that particular concern.
02:40But beyond that, there is so much when it comes to what is happening across the globe.
02:45Intelligence gathering and intelligence sharing has become critical to cooperation between and among countries,
02:52and therefore this meeting enhances that kind of cooperation amongst nations.
02:58For India, this is an annual exercise,
03:01and right now we'll get to know the details of what really transpired between the two important offices,
03:09but this is something that he's going to do with the Canadian and the British as well.
03:15Alright, so we'll be tracking all the latest on that,
03:18and remember this is in many ways a refreshed relationship between India and the U.S.,
03:23very different from how possible it was with the Biden regime,
03:26and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hopeful that incumbent U.S. President Donald Trump,
03:31who he considers a friend, a dos, someone who possibly can help him take U.S.-India relationship further,
03:38spoke at one of these exclusive podcasts with Lex Fridman about India's long-standing ties with the U.S.A. and also with Trump.
03:48It was quite a power-packed podcast.
03:50Let's listen into this excerpt of him in reference to America and Trump.
04:08There was a program in Houston called Howdy Modi,
04:12and President Trump and I, and the whole stadium was packed.
04:18People from the Indian diaspora came together.
04:21So we both gave speeches, and they were sitting down and listening to me.
04:28Now this is their greatness.
04:30The President of America is sitting down in the stadium and listening,
04:35and I am giving a speech on the stage.
04:37This is their greatness.
04:39I gave a speech and went down.
04:41And we know how big the security of America is,
04:48what kind of scrutiny there is.
04:52I went to thank the President.
04:56Then I said to him, if you don't mind,
04:59let's take a tour of the stadium.
05:04There are so many people, so let's shake hands and say hello.
05:07Now, is it impossible for the life of America
05:11that the President of the United States is walking in the crowd of thousands?
05:15Without even a moment's delay, he walked with me in the crowd.
05:23The security system of America was completely disturbed.
05:30It touched me that this person has the courage.
05:35He takes the decision himself.
05:37And secondly, he has faith in Modi.
05:41If Modi is taking it, let's go.
05:45So this feeling of mutual trust,
05:49I saw this strength of ours that day.
05:53And the way I felt President Trump that day,
05:58that he walked with me without asking the security guards,
06:02in the midst of thousands of people.
06:04Now if you watch his video, you will be surprised.
06:07And when they were shot in this election campaign,
06:11I saw President Trump alone.
06:18Trump, who held my hand and walked in that stadium,
06:22and even after being shot,
06:25living for America,
06:28life for America.
06:31This was their reflection.
06:34Because I am a nation first,
06:36they are America first,
06:38I am India first,
06:40so our pair is equal.
06:48Remember right now the focus is coming in on Karnataka,
06:52because the gold smuggling racket,
06:54not just as a political showdown,
06:55but could have international ramifications as well.
06:58In the latest, there's been outrage and shock
07:01over a remark made by a BJP MLA.
07:05And I cannot even repeat it,
07:08verbatim to what he said on air.
07:11Because what he basically said,
07:14and I'll paraphrase it for the viewer,
07:15that she appears to have hidden her gold,
07:18possibly in her private parts as well.
07:20Why was this necessary to mention explicitly,
07:23on camera, to the reporters on the ground?
07:26I understand it's a serious case of gold smuggling,
07:29but isn't there a certain decency
07:31that our Netas need to maintain?
07:33Let's listen in to what Yatnal said,
07:35specifically to the woman,
07:38to the one facing criminal charges right now.
07:45What can I say?
07:47Look, we'll tell the truth tomorrow,
07:50to whoever it is.
07:52I'll tell them who's involved in this,
07:55why they're giving me security,
07:57I'll tell them everything.
07:59Where did they get the gold from,
08:01when did they smuggle the gold,
08:03I'll tell them everything.
08:05It's not wrong for the central government
08:08to make a mistake,
08:09we need to support them,
08:10they're the BJP.
08:11Look, they're in the centre.
08:14They're our customers.
08:16It's not wrong for them to make a mistake,
08:18let them suspend themselves.
08:20We all need to get justice.
08:22We don't need to protect the centre.
08:24Our ministers don't know anything,
08:26even the officials don't know.
08:28Look at the customers properly,
08:30did they bring the gold from Maithumba?
08:32Correct.
08:33Did they bring it from where it was smuggled?
08:37Can you believe what he said?
08:39Yatnal, who's a senior leader,
08:41a member of the BJP,
08:42and is no novice,
08:43while he's saying,
08:44where all did she hide?
08:46And if I may,
08:48which hole did she hide the gold in?
08:50Why was this comment necessary
08:52when we are talking about
08:54a very serious case,
08:55otherwise in which,
08:56possibly,
08:57BJP names could also come in
08:59because we're talking about
09:00the former BJP government
09:01and the real estate deals here.
09:03That's what's the latest coming in here,
09:05that's what Basant Gowda,
09:06Yatnal said,
09:07that we'll be looking to investigate this,
09:09but we'll also try to find out
09:11where all did she hide the gold
09:13in her body,
09:14and referring to the private parts.
09:16Sagai Raj is joining me
09:18for the latest on that.
09:19Sagai, definitely,
09:20that was not one comment I expected.
09:22I expected political showdown.
09:23What are we hearing on this?
09:25Has anyone else responded?
09:27Because I think there has to be
09:28a certain decency
09:29that our leaders also need to maintain.
09:32You're absolutely right.
09:33As a public representative,
09:35and you're representing
09:36a constituency,
09:37a place in the state of Karnataka,
09:39you should have some kind of decorum
09:41and decency
09:42when you're making a statement
09:44in public or to media.
09:46And Basant Gowda, Yatnal,
09:47who was talking about
09:48exposing the ministers involved
09:50in this gold smuggling scam,
09:53he went on to say
09:54that he will also reveal
09:55that where all she had kept the gold.
09:57And to be specific,
09:59he said that
10:00wherever she has hold,
10:01she has kept the gold there.
10:03Hadn't she smuggled gold
10:04from Dubai to Bengaluru?
10:06Probably this statement
10:08when entire state or country
10:10is looking forward
10:11for who is the person behind this
10:13and making these kind of
10:14sexist remarks
10:15are not welcomed by the people.
10:17Alright, let's just hope
10:18that possibly
10:19more senior leaders of the BJP
10:21with wisdom
10:22would want to at least
10:23speak to him.
10:24Not that Yatnal is any
10:25junior, novice leader.
10:27He understands politics
10:28and he said
10:29we'll be looking
10:30to investigate this further.
10:31And then,
10:32surrounded by men
10:33who are smiling and smirking
10:35as he says
10:36where all
10:37in whichever hole
10:38she hid the gold.
10:47The Aurangzeb debate
10:48is back and how
10:49and this time
10:50not as much about the emperor
10:51but the tome
10:52here in India
10:53in Maharashtra
10:54specifically.
10:55Maharashtra Congress
10:56has said
10:57Fadnavis is a
10:58cruel ruler
10:59like Aurangzeb.
11:01So,
11:02the Congress party
11:03is comparing Aurangzeb
11:04to Maharashtra
11:05Chief Minister
11:06Fadnavis
11:07saying that
11:08they are cruel
11:09on a similar level.
11:10Fadnavis also
11:11resorting to religion
11:12politics
11:13like Aurangzeb did.
11:14So,
11:15basically how
11:16Fadnavis is ruling
11:17or is in the government
11:18in Maharashtra
11:19right now
11:20that's exactly how
11:21Aurangzeb was.
11:22So,
11:23it would be interesting
11:24to see how
11:25the experts
11:26who've studied Aurangzeb
11:27and have known about
11:28his documented
11:29brutalities
11:30will have to say about
11:31if Fadnavis rule
11:32is the same as well.
11:33Let's listen in first
11:34to what Harshvardhan
11:35Vasanth Rao said.
12:04Aurangzeb rule
12:25is like Fadnavis rule
12:26is what Maharashtra
12:27Congress is saying.
12:28Are we expecting
12:29this debate
12:30to definitely escalate
12:31in the days to come?
12:35Just a week ago
12:36this minister of Maharashtra
12:37Devendra Fadnavis
12:38stated that
12:39the tomb removal
12:40must be legal.
12:41And that was
12:42the exact indication
12:43when he
12:44specifically mentioned
12:45those words
12:46the tomb removal
12:47must be legal.
12:48And after that
12:49right-wing organisations
12:50like Muhishmahindu Parishad
12:51and Bajrang Dal
12:52they intensified
12:53their demand
12:54to demolish the
12:55tomb which is located
12:56in the Khultabad
12:57of Chhatrapati
12:58Sambhaji Nagar.
12:59If the government
13:00is not going to
13:01remove the tomb
13:02then the VHP leaders
13:03will come on the street
13:04to protest
13:05and there will be
13:06a Babri-like
13:07situation
13:08like what happened
13:09in 1992.
13:10And that's why
13:11the police forces
13:12are deployed
13:13just because
13:14law and order issues
13:15are there.
13:16But now the situation
13:17is heated.
13:18Some of the
13:19right-wing organisations
13:20have already called
13:21off the protest
13:22but still VHP,
13:23Muhishmahindu Parishad
13:24and Bajrang Dal
13:25are still demanding
13:26the removal of the tomb
13:27and they are firm
13:28on their decision
13:29to protest against
13:30whatever is happening
13:31regarding Aurangzeb
13:33I can't keep tracking
13:34the latest on that
13:35because this is going
13:36to remember
13:37the discourse that
13:38we'll see in the days
13:39to come escalating
13:40in Maharashtra.
13:41So the controversy
13:42now from Aurangzeb
13:43has also turned
13:44to Aurangzeb's
13:45tomb.
13:46Here's what has
13:47happened.
13:48On the occasion of
13:49Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti
13:50in Maharashtra
13:51the VHP and the
13:52Bajrang Dal
13:53came together
13:54to announce
13:55a mega protest
13:56across Maharashtra
13:57and specifically
13:58threatening to
13:59demolish Aurangzeb's
14:00tomb which is in
14:01Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar
14:02erstwhile Aurangabad.
14:03The VHP pointed out
14:04that Aurangzeb
14:05killed lakhs of Hindus
14:06specifically
14:07or forcing them
14:08to convert
14:09or pay the Jizya tax
14:10during his tenure.
14:11They have also
14:12urged Maharashtra
14:13government to ensure
14:14Aurangzeb's tomb
14:15is removed from
14:16the state.
14:17Ruling party
14:18has also
14:19backed
14:20ruling party
14:21Shiv Sena group
14:22has backed
14:23VHP's demand
14:24claiming makes no sense
14:25to have Aurangzeb's
14:26tomb in Chhatrapati
14:27Sambhaji Nagar.
14:28Meanwhile opposition
14:29lashed out at Mahayati
14:30why not focus
14:31on real issues.
15:01the state.
15:02Maharashtra
15:03government
15:04has also
15:05urged Maharashtra
15:06government
15:07to ensure
15:08Aurangzeb's
15:09tomb is removed
15:10from
15:11the state.
15:12Ruling party
15:13has also
15:14urged Mahayati
15:15government
15:16to ensure
15:17Aurangzeb's
15:18tomb is removed
15:19from
15:20the state.
15:21Ruling party
15:22has also
15:23urged Mahayati
15:24government
15:25to ensure
15:26Aurangzeb's
15:27tomb is removed
15:28from
15:29the state.
15:59Alright, moving on now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared in the next Fridman podcast.
16:03This is also remember reaching out to an international audience.
16:06Fridman is a big name when it comes to very specialized podcast conversations and this
16:11conversation went on for three hours.
16:14Prime Minister Modi speaking about more starting with his personal issues like the childhood
16:20then went on to talk about leadership, global leaders including US President Donald Trump,
16:25Russian President Vladimir Putin, his public life and his friendship and association with
16:30some of these leaders.
16:31He's also mentioned about Bonhomie with US President emphasizing that Trump is far more
16:35prepared during his second stint as the President of the USA.
16:40He's also labeled the friendship with Trump as a bond of mutual trust and Modi saying
16:44for both him and Trump, their nation comes first and he understands that.
16:49Sharing his views on also the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war, remember which both India and the US
16:54have tried to bring an end to.
16:56Prime Minister stressing only negotiations can bring an end to the conflict.
17:00This remember is the second podcast, earlier one was in January.
17:05It was in discussion with Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamat in a podcast.
17:08Podcast is slightly different from the usual interview.
17:12It is more informal and casual in conversation.
21:15India is in the 21st century, the era of Ishiyanism, so it is natural for India to be in conflict.
21:22Conflict is not wrong, there should be no conflict.
21:26When I was a child, my family, my father, mother, brother, sister, my uncle, aunt, my grandfather,
21:37all of them were in conflict.
21:39This is a very big place where we are sitting, where there was no door, there was a small door.
21:50That's where we were born, that's where we grew up.
21:54Now the topic is poverty, it is natural today that according to the way people come into
22:04the world, I came out of extreme poverty.
22:10But I never felt the burden of poverty, because a person who wears good shoes, and if he does
22:23not have shoes, then he feels that he is gay.
22:27Now I had never worn shoes in my life, so how did I know that wearing shoes is also a
22:34very big thing.
22:36So I was not in a position to compare, I have lived my life like this.
22:41And my mother used to work very hard, my father used to work very hard.
22:50My father was so disciplined that he used to leave the house at 4 or 4.30 in the morning.
22:58He used to walk a lot, go to many temples and then reach the shop.
23:04So the shoes he used to wear, leather, the one that he makes in the village, they are
23:13very hard, suddenly.
23:15So there is a lot of noise, knock, knock, knock.
23:19So when he used to go to the shop, people used to say that we used to mix the watch,
23:27that yes, brother Damodar is coming.
23:31That is, he had such a disciplined life.
23:35He worked very hard, he worked late at night.
23:39By the way, my mother also used to do it for the difficulties and problems of the house.
24:40But to have Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on the same stage, this will be possibly the
24:45first time after the Pran Pratishtha event.
24:49So that is going to be interesting, could there be statements that could come in from
24:52both of them and what is the plan with regard to BJP-RSS for the country.
24:58So that is what we are expecting, that Prime Minister Modi will be taking part in Foundation
25:04Stonelaying Program and other events, but specifically to celebrate the Hindu New Year,
25:09which is celebrated in Maharashtra as Gudi Padwa.
25:12And this will also be to pay tribute to Hezwar in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
25:23Life of who you are, is you've spoken your whole life about putting your nation of India
25:28above all else.
25:30When you were eight, you joined the RSS, which espouses the idea of Hindu nationalism.
25:36Can you tell me about RSS and what impact they had on who you are and the development
25:43of your political ideas?
26:30I don't know why I joined the RSS.
26:32In the same way, I used to be a member of the RSS.
26:35I used to be a member of the RSS, but I used to sing patriotic songs.
26:39I used to enjoy it a lot, I used to feel good about it.
26:44So that is how I joined the RSS.
26:47So I got a good culture of the RSS, that no matter what you think, do, even if you are
26:58studying, think that I will study this much, I will study this much, I am for the country.
27:03If I exercise, I will exercise in such a way that my body will also be useful for the country.
27:07This is what the people of the RSS keep teaching.
27:10Now the RSS is a very big organization.
27:13Perhaps it is now 100 years old.
27:15This is the 100th year.
27:17And I have not heard of such a big organization anywhere in the world.
27:24But it is not so easy to understand the organization.
27:31You should try to understand the work of the organization.
27:34And the organization itself gives you a good direction on the purpose of life.
27:48Secondly, the country is everything and public service is God's service.
27:54In 100 years, the National Self-Defense Force,
27:58staying away from all the chaos of India, like a devotee, with dedication,
28:10so it was my good fortune that I got their culture through such a sacred organization.
28:17I got it in the life of purpose.
28:23The Waqf showdown is expected to escalate in Delhi because there's going to be,
28:29remember, in just a short while we hear, a Muslim law board anti-Waqf amendment will stir
28:36in New Delhi.
28:37So there are possibly the Islamic bodies that are going to come forth on the streets right now.
28:42They are vowing a pan India protest.
28:44Ashutosh Mishra is on the ground updating us on that and more.
28:49Ashutosh, good morning.
28:50Tell me more about what is the mood like.
28:52I already see people are gathering around you.
28:54Tell me more about this anti-Waqf amendment bill.
29:02Well, if we don't see the significant strength of the people,
29:05but the representation that is coming is from all over the country.
29:08So it is not only the Jamia Tulemai and it is not only
29:12the Jamaat-e-Sangat and also the All India Muslim Personal Law Board,
29:15but the representatives and in fact, let me take you through these images.
29:18The message is that defending work, defending deen,
29:21interferencing work assault on religious freedom.
29:24At large message from these religious group and the representatives are
29:28that there are certain provisions and the rights that have been ensured by the constitution
29:32and the Waqf law to the Muslim community.
29:35And perhaps why they are calling it a Kala Kanun, a black Kanun.
29:38And now this message exactly giving a strength.
29:42This is exactly a recall moment when I see the CA and the NRC protest
29:47that one major protest goes and the message goes out pan Indian,
29:50when they see people hitting the street.
29:51But for now, it is a symbolic protest at Jantar Mantar demanding the government first
29:56abolish this Kanun, do not bring it, do not make any amendments.
29:59The fundamental reason that is being cited by the community,
30:02that since it's a religious matter, the rights have been given
30:06religiously as per existing Waqf board law.
30:08And if there are some irregularities that can be
30:11deal with the constitution and the law of the land.
30:13However, there have been certain apprehension and certain examples
30:16that have been speaking to these clerics that there are the entire village land
30:21claimed by Waqf board.
30:22And there are several such examples.
30:24Now, the reason and the response that is coming from the community,
30:27if there are irregularities, the law of the land can deal with it.
30:30But as far as these entire changes and the amendment is concerned,
30:34that goes against the fundamental right of the Muslim community
30:37and also involvement of the other members in the Waqf board,
30:40the board that will be formed.
30:41Subsequently, the magistrate will have a more say.
30:44And that's exactly why I see the representative from the Muslim community
30:47from different parts of the country have come here at Jantar Mantar
30:50for a symbolic protest.
30:51But the message is going to be larger if the government doesn't listen
30:54to these community members and the representatives.
30:57And remember that there's always, there's been a discussion already
31:01that's happened between the Muslim clerics and the government.
31:05Eventually, the government is very clear that they will likely be going ahead
31:08with amendment bill.
31:10So, Ashutosh Mishra will be tracking that and getting us more voices.
31:14Ashutosh, stay on with me because as more and more news comes in on this,
31:18I have a statement coming in with regard to the Waqf amendment bill.
31:22Let's take a look at that.
31:30The JPC chief with regard to the Waqf has given out a statement
31:33slamming this anti-bill stir.
31:36Jagdambika Pal has said,
31:37Parliament power is being challenged.
31:39This is hate mongering being done by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board.
31:43Muslim groups are in Delhi and they could be planning an anti-India stir on this.
31:49Let's listen into Jagdambika Pal.
32:09Jagdambika Pal.
32:39He's joining me for the latest on that.
33:07Ashutosh, go ahead because as we hear here,
33:10the JPC chief is also very clear what does he want.
33:17The government itself is clear that by March 24,
33:19as we are hearing tentatively,
33:21likely when the government is to table the Waqf amendment bill.
33:25But here what we see, look at these images at Jantar Mantar.
33:27The protest has begun by the Muslim Personal Law Board
33:30and the different members of the Muslim community and their representatives.
33:34So that's a massive showdown with the banner posters,
33:38calling it a black bill, a kala bill and hands off work.
33:41So these are the messages coming from the Muslim community members.
33:44The protest has started at least Jantar Mantar,
33:48giving a message and a call to the government that this is the time that
33:51when there could be a rethinking as far as amendment in the Waqf board bill is concerned.
33:56But the government has made stand quite clear.
33:59So the message that goes one thing,
34:01that whether it is going to be symbolic or it is going to break pan India
34:04as far as the protest by the community is concerned.
34:07Look at the government during the citation and during the different deliberation,
34:11several issues were taken up,
34:12particularly as we have seen recently from the BJP and the other outfit and the organization,
34:18that how Waqf has been claiming several lands belonging to the personals, to the individuals.
34:25So there are irregularities, cases also being reported on the Waqf property.
34:29Now the community says if there are irregularities that can be dealt by the law of the land,
34:32file an FIR, let there be an investigation.
34:35But why interfere in the religious issue when they say the Waqf board was formed
34:41under the religious body, the land which is traditionally has been given from their
34:46ancestors to the next generation and all these properties are being used for the social cause,
34:51whether there are schools are formed, whether it is made for to the hospitals.
34:55But all these deliberations, the arguments have been already been seen before the JPC
35:02and the several other representatives during these deliberations.
35:05The law is set to be passed, but now we see a showdown at Delhi's Jantar Mantar,
35:10a protest call, massive show strength by the Muslim community with the banner, posters,
35:15messaging and top clerics, the religious leaders who are here,
35:19who will be deliberating, who will rather giving call on this.
35:22So who all are here? There is Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani,
35:26who is the chairperson of All India Muslim Personal Law Board.
35:29There is Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, who is the leader of the Personal Law Board.
35:32There's a Jamaat-e-Islami leader Syed Sadatullah Hussaini.
35:36So all these leaders and along with, of course, several different outfit
35:40ahead who are here in the Jantar Mantar giving this showdown against this Waqf board law amendment.
35:46Ashutosh, keep tracking all the latest on that.
35:48These are protests on the ground while the JPC chief has said,
35:51this is the parliament power, already discussions that have been on is being questioned.
35:55Let's move on to other stories coming in.
35:58Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin broke his silence over the issue of the rupee symbol,
36:02which is a national symbol that was decided and to remove it and add a certain Tamil symbol over it.
36:08Now here's what has happened in the latest on this, that he's also spoken out saying,
36:13Nirmala Sitharaman herself had previously used the Tamil letter
36:16instead of what we use in English like the rupee.
36:19Stalin stating, despite making hundreds of requests to union finance minister for funds,
36:23for salaries, for education, the state has received no response, adding that this demonstrates DMK's
36:30unwavering stance on the language issue and the rupee symbol of the Tamil symbol will stand.
36:35After Nirmala Sitharaman lashed out saying this is a dangerous mindset by DMK.
37:19Madhav joins me on this latest controversy.
37:40Pramod, go ahead, tell me.
37:42So this means that MK Stalin government is going to continue to use the symbol.
37:48Well, to very clearly mention it, it looks like the chief minister and DMK government in a way is
37:53kind of teasing the union government over here because it looks like even though the DMK
37:57government claims that they were only trying to like, you know, give importance to Tamil,
38:02the way it has like blown up, it very clearly looks like DMK government was aware, especially
38:06chief minister was aware of what's going to happen. And that's the reason they also have
38:10a proper rebuttal. The chief minister very clearly seems amused. He says that budget one way or the
38:15other has become very popular across the nation. And he says that the same Nirmala Sitharaman,
38:20the finance minister who did not respond to him seeking funds for education, seeking funds for
38:25flood relief had immediately responded to this. And he alleges, the chief minister alleges that
38:30this has been made or blown out of proportion only by those who are opposing Tamil. That way,
38:35DMK government and the chief minister, MK Stalin has given a response to this issue.
38:42I'm tracking all the latest on that. And remember, this is about national symbols.
38:46Should DMK leader have more conversations with the centre
38:50rather than literally defy what a country's decided symbol has been?
39:01Karnataka is Telangana now facing difficulty in paying salaries. Is there a massive cash
39:05crunch in the state? Rivant Reddy, the chief minister has said, unable to pay the dearness
39:10allowance. And this is a big admission. Let's listen into what he said.
40:10Abdul Basheer is joining me on the phone line. Abdul, this is concerning. After Karnataka
40:24and even Himachal Pradesh, Congress governed states comes another Telangana.
40:28Tell us more about what is the problem coming out of the cash crunch in Telangana?
40:33Well, what we are learning, the Telangana chief minister in a reply in the legislative council
40:39of Telangana, has stated that the government is finding it difficult to pay salaries to the
40:46employee in the first of every month, for which the Telangana government is seeking a handloan,
40:52a handloan sort of a loan from the Reserve Bank of India of about 4000 crores. And that is how
40:59they are able to pay their salaries. When it comes to the DA and the other expenses that are
41:04being, that are pending for the government employee, it is very difficult for the government
41:09to even pay salary. So how would it be possible to pay the DAs and all? So the chief minister
41:16has stated that he will give all the accounts to the government employee and he has asked them to
41:22decide what is to be paid first, whether the salaries or whether the DAs or the other pending
41:27issues. And they can decide as to what to be given. And DA is a legitimate right and demand
41:32of the employee. And the chief minister has insisted not to request on giving the DAs and
41:39the extra allowances. And depending on the present financial situation of the state…
41:42We will be tracking this because remember after Himachal Karnataka, now even Telangana's chief
41:47minister is saying we are facing a cash crunch and unable to pay salaries. Let's get more details on
41:52this in days to come, especially who will be impacted the most because of this.
41:58Welcome back. Some good news coming in. Stranded astronauts Sunita Williams and
42:05Butch Willmore finally possibly heading home. This is the crew nine member duo.
42:09And what was a mission remember of nine days went to about nine months and there was uncertainty
42:15even then. But finally it appears efforts are paying off. They are currently at the ISS
42:19on route returning in just a short while as more and more details are coming in.
42:25NASA has confirmed that the duo will return to Earth on Wednesday aboard the SpaceX Dragon
42:30capsule. This is after remember NASA moved forward the astronauts anticipated ocean
42:34splashdown off the Florida coast. The two astronauts thanking Donald Trump and Elon
42:39Musk for the rescue effort. We're coming back before long. So,
42:44you know, don't make all those plans without me. We'll be back before too long.
42:49At the outset, we have all of us have the utmost respect for Mr. Musk and obviously
42:55respect and admiration for our president of the United States, Donald Trump. We appreciate them.
43:00We appreciate all that they do for us of our human spaceflight for our nation.
43:05And we're thankful that they are in the positions they're in.
43:49Sunita Williams and Butch Millmore after nine months are expected to return very soon from the
43:54International Space Station. Let's take a look some of the developments that have come in,
43:59how they are Earth bound.
44:01The space girl Sunita Williams will soon touch down on Earth.
44:21After spending nine months stranded aboard the International Space Station,
44:27Sunita Williams and Butch Millmore are now in the final phase
44:31of their unexpectedly prolonged mission.
44:39Both Sunita and Butch will be replaced by crew 10 members
44:43and are expected to return to Earth on Wednesday.
44:47After a technical snag, SpaceX's Falcon 9 has successfully docked with the International
44:52Space Station. Following a smooth, autonomous docking manoeuvre monitored by both the spacecraft
45:01crew and the ISS team, the new arrivals were welcomed aboard by the existing Expedition 72
45:08crew.
45:38By ourselves.
46:09That was really fun. And thanks to all the world's airspace industry, which works to
46:16make the dreams to come true and to take us further and further. That's really wonderful.
46:21So excited for the four pilots and us that just got to get to space together.
46:25And now we're four astronauts together. So thank you to all of our friends and
46:30families. And thank you to all of the instructors and all of the ground teams who got us here.
46:35The new crew's mission will extend over the next six months,
46:40overseeing critical operations aboard the space station.
46:44It will take them about four to five days or close to a week for the handover to happen.
46:49So we need to understand that Sunita Williams was commander of the space station.
46:53During her eight-month stay, she was responsible for taking forward all the science, research,
46:58studies, spacewalk schedule ahead. Now that she's going to come down,
47:03she'll have to do a handover of all these research studies that were being done.
47:08Sunita and Bhuj originally launched aboard Boeing's Starliner capsule
47:14on June 5th, 2024 for a short-term test flight.
