00:00According to the custodian of the International Criminal Court, former President Rodrigo Duterte,

00:05how will be the process of his trial?

00:08This Friday, Duterte already attended the initial appearance hearing.

00:13There, he confirmed his identity and his rights.

00:19The date of the confirmation of charges hearing was also set.

00:23There, I will determine if there is enough evidence to continue the trial.

00:27During the trial, the prosecution will prove the accuser's innocence.

00:34After that, according to the evidence, the judges will decide if the accuser is guilty or not.

00:40If guilty, the accuser can serve up to 30 years or a sentence.

00:46He can also be ordered by the court to pay his victims.

00:51The judge can still appeal the prosecution or defense.

00:56It will be held in an appeals chamber with five judges, different from the judges in the case of litigation.
