00:19Beautiful day here in East, Tennessee. It feels like spring is finally here and it's so nice. It really does

00:25We're enjoying this beautiful weather Riker has been outside for the last couple of days

00:29So it has been really nice

00:31but today is gonna be a fun vlog and fun for us because

00:35It's hard to believe but you're 25 weeks along and before we know it

00:41Our sweet little baby girl is going to be here

00:47With that being said, you know, we got to do we got to redo the nursery

00:55Don't know it's gonna be hard to fit like two kids in there

01:07Think we're gonna show y'all the before and then kind of give you an idea of what we're gonna do

01:12We're still trying to figure all of it out, but I think it'll come together. It'll be cute

01:15Yeah, yeah, so we want to change it up and let it be a little different than Riker

01:21So I think we might get a new rug a little bit new furniture

01:24I know that we have I think a new dresser coming in so we have room for both of them

01:29A boy and a girl now, we do plan on keeping our girl in our room for a little bit

01:34Yeah, I think for a while. We'll probably share some of that too. So we'll redo the bedroom

01:38Yeah in a little couple of weeks and then just set up a baby corner that she'll probably be in until she's older but

01:46We'll make the room special for both. I know that you did paint some photos for Riker

01:50So I think you wanted to paint some for our girl as well, right? That's right

01:54So I already have my Pinterest board ready

01:57I think I've picked out what I'm gonna do for her as well

02:00So we'll do all the colors together and hers will be girl and his will be boy

02:04I think we also got our very first piece of furniture for this our nursery room in

02:11So y'all play outside

02:13I'm gonna go put that inside take it out get it set up and

02:16Then we'll see let Lydia come in and see what she thinks of it

02:19Like I said is we still got other things on the way

02:22So we still got different furniture on the way, but we're starting

02:25I know we got a rug on the way. We got the furniture. We're doing a new chair stuff like that

02:29I'm very indecisive so some of this stuff

02:31I just haven't picked but it is coming whatever I have picked is coming and it gotta be a color theme for both

02:36So yes, so we're trying to make it. All right, you hang out

02:40I am gonna go get this first piece of furniture set up and then let Lydia come in and see what she thinks of it

03:06Righty, so we got our first piece of furniture in the nursery in so I'm gonna get Lydia to have her come look at

04:00So we're gonna show you a little bit of before of what we had to set up and

04:05Then we did do a little bit of rearranging and then got a chair in there's still a lot more work

04:10That needs to be done that we're going to try to do for us. It's like a mess. Yeah

04:15Yeah, as far as the cribs and getting the right rug and changing but so far

04:20I think this is what we've done, which I really like

04:23So we moved this diaper changing over a little bit, but we got we do got a big shelf on the way

04:29That's going to go the whole distance. So I got basically this is gonna go into our room

04:34I think and this will be baby girls stuff for the first couple of months and then I just moved all this to see if

04:43Open up the window area which used to be right here. But yeah, I have a dresser coming in

04:48That's gonna be like this big right here

04:51Actually don't know somewhere and then his choice will stay here

04:55Then I think I'm getting a new rug just to bring in some more color and stuff

05:01So once it's closer to her being born

05:04I don't want to rearrange it yet because it's still we're a couple months out until she's actually in here since she'll be in our

05:10room first

05:11But when she moves in we're gonna have one bed here chair in the middle another bed here

05:17A lot of these toys are outdoor toys. So this will all be gone in the summer as well

05:21But so it'll be beds here toys and then their clothes

05:26So I think it will fit really well and this is what you were able to do for Riker

05:30You painted all these so we drew those so I'm gonna move those over for him and then she's gonna get her own

05:39Same colors, but cute and girly. All right. Well sit in the chair and tell me what you think about it. That's your first time. So

05:46Whoa, it's comfortable

05:49I feel like it's exciting to update this chair cuz

05:54Special for the little baby girl. So yes, we've definitely started working on our nursery

05:58But we've got a long way to go as you can see still just one bed for Riker in here

06:02But we're figuring it all out

06:04I think I have a game plan of what we're going to do to make it cute and still special for both kids

06:10So if you guys are anything like us and you are trying to find some cute

06:19Functional furniture, especially if your family's also growing or you just want to update it

07:19I'd like to put on a show just to keep myself awake

07:23Especially if you're up at all hours, the premium upholstery is not just soft and cute

07:29It's also very durable and easy to clean which if you're a parent, you know, that's top priority

07:36It has a super comfortable lumbar support pillow in the back, which is perfect just to make sure your posture stays right

09:13We absolutely love the progress that we've been able to make and we love our new

09:19Nursery chair and then accent chairs here in the living room, but the nursery still has a little bit of ways to go

09:24We're still waiting on some more furniture and then the rug and stuff like that. So we will update you as we go

09:31But now we got a babysitter coming and we are going to do something. This has been on your list for a while. So

09:38So we're gonna go to car shopping

09:40We have like three vehicles that we really like and we just really want to go just sit in

09:44Drive and try them out and just for the space. Yeah, we're trying to narrow it down to one and then go find the

09:52Obviously the one that we like best

09:55So we're just trying out all the difference because we do have a couple favorites. Yeah, we do. So I've never been car shopping

10:00We'll see how this goes

10:02Should be interesting. I'm getting I'm a little nervous because I don't know you go up there and be like, hey

10:06Can I check out these cars?

10:08Well, I feel like I've only done it once when I was like a teenager with my dad

10:11for my first car

10:13And I have not gone car shopping since so come along. It's gonna be fun. Let's go find Lydia's perfect car

10:20We made it to our first stop for car shopping

10:25I'm very curious to see how this will go. I've never done it before

10:30Just check it out, right? Yes. Check it out. See what we like, but we stopped our first one is

10:35You're probably your favorite car is the Toyota 4Runner

10:39So we're gonna go check it out see what it's like, you know to have two car seats in there

10:43We would like probably to get three rows just so you know, our family is going to be growing Lord willing

10:49So we want to be prepared now three rows and we can put it down the back and just have a ton of storage for now

10:55And then if I need to I can sit in the back or if we have more people come with us

11:00But I think 4Runners are so cool

11:03I think moms that have them look like cool moms. And so I wanted to go try this one out. Let's go

11:12So far so easy

11:14They get we give them our names and so they're gonna have someone come check and go show us

11:20Finally Toyota 4Runner, so let's go see

11:27Man, that looks nice

11:29I'm gonna go look for this space in the backseat. That's the biggest thing

11:35Because you're gonna have two car seats I

11:42Know you're worried about the backseat, but you gotta check out that front seat. That's where you're gonna be driving it

11:47Yeah, I gotta see if I can squish my big car seats in there

11:51Well that seat is far back. So I don't know if you're gonna be that far back, too

11:55Man, this is nice. Now. Why is this your dream car?

12:04Just because now I've ridden it. I've not driven one before

12:08It just looks I feel like cooler than an average. But what about practicality because you know, you want to grow in family. So like

12:16You're gonna have two by June so two

12:19Car seats have two in the back and then I can take extra people along

12:26in the back row and

12:32So the one you were just in was the 2024. So this is the 2016. Let's see how much of a difference it is

12:39What do you feel like it's gonna be a lot of cosmetic, right?

12:42I like look wise I feel like it ain't a lot different

12:49So no third row, but

12:55So like this space wise is very similar though to the 2024 nice

13:02if you and what he was saying is you could drive the four-runner just to get a feel of it and then we can drive

13:08The Kia Teller ride and then you can kind of just gauge

13:11Far as what you think because I don't know of it the feel of it and it might have you know

13:16The other cars might have a little bit more room

13:17I do love the look of the the four runners and the durability is very good points, you know

13:24It's gonna last for a while. It's got a lot of storage to just have a lot of storage

13:33You don't look at this other babe, I think it's

13:36This one also does not have a third. Okay, just this fella. That's when it's actually really nice. That's the 2018 in between

13:42So it's still really nice, but not

13:45Like the newest one out of all of these which one do you want to drive around like test drive

13:50You want to drive test out of that 2024?

13:55All right, we are in a 2024

13:58Toyota 4runner Lydia's dream car. We just got the keys

14:02We're going to do a little test drive and then we're gonna compare to the other two vehicles that we really are

14:09Interested in looking at is the Kia Teller ride and the Honda palette

14:12So I like the medium sized ones still but usually most of my third rows

14:16But some are gonna be more spacious somehow captain seats or not. So this is right here is

14:222024 I think it's still pretty nice. I

14:25Personally like probably like the captain seats other than like the third row like the three here in the back just because I think it's easier

14:33to

14:35The only thing that I know it's not great about these cars or they're not very good on gas mileage

14:43And we do drive a lot. So well, I think but it's such a cool car. It's worth it

14:48I don't think any of the SUVs are gonna be similar in the gap, but I

14:53Right. Hey, maybe I do know that I do know the resale value is insane on a 4-hour

14:59I like that has a backup camera. That's what they said. Okay, do I loop to the right? Yeah, you go to the right

15:09Ryker would have such a cool mom if I had this car

15:15Who's got power

15:19It has pretty good visibility just

15:22Right off the bat. It's probably because it's a higher-up car in general. Yeah, which I'm gonna like

15:28I do like the dash right here. That's pretty nice pretty big screen

15:35How does it feel so far

15:38Feels like home meant to be

15:42It feels really nice it drives well, I

15:46Don't want to back up my camera just to see my backup camera. So let's just

15:55That is nice I do like me a good backup camera

15:58I feel like most vehicles now like this new are going to have it. That's true. Should we put some power on it?

16:21It would be your car is gonna be your mom car. So like that's true. You know, this is for you

16:25I still sometimes enjoy being driven around just saying

16:30And then you can just turn in here and go back to where we're going this one is gonna drive so smooth because it's a

16:42No, I kind of wish I could drive one of their 2025

16:47just to try it out and I'm not gonna buy one, but

16:50You know me. Oh

16:53It looks like the other one has a third row. Look at that. That's all right. Mm-hmm

16:58All right. So after you driving the full run, what do you think of it pros cons?

17:06Feels very comfortable. I love the visibility which I've learned some cars

17:11You really can't see much out of the 2024 is is this one's gonna be hard to beat for me, babe

17:17I still feel like I have good space

17:19The only thing I don't love is this if I want to sit between them

17:23I feel like it'd be really hard to hide between two kids and you'd have to climb over in the back row

17:27That's the only thing like you said the cup didn't see

17:30Space-wise, I feel like it's really nice

17:34It doesn't have heated seats, which is this stupid little feature

17:38Compared to everything else in the grand scheme of things, but you know, I love my heated seat

17:42All right, let's go check out the next vehicle and it's white. So that is the color you like

17:51Now this one's gonna be a little smaller than so it does have the captain seats which I do like that

17:58It'll be easier to put them

18:06Let's see this space I wanted that seat adjust back. There you go. I

18:17Wow, that's like front seats in the middle. I feel like though. This might be more convenient for two kids

18:23Okay, since we only have two and then if you need what we have the room back there if we need to yeah

18:49All right, so just sitting in this tele ride this feels pretty nice I feel like I like the

18:57The captain seats I like but what do you like babe? I honestly do like this interior

19:05Yeah, which is nice. I feel like the display and everything is like similar

19:11It is pretty cool. It does have

19:14Cooled and heated seats. So that is actually really really nice. Like how does it feel compared to the forerunner so far?

19:29Yeah, am I good to am I good to drive this one around for a little bit and then come back

19:35This is a lot easier than I thought to like just check out these cars and just try them out because like I was always

19:42Nervous like going to the car dealerships and stuff, but they have been so helpful where we went

19:48They thankfully had a Kia tele ride and they had the Toyota forerunner

19:52So I guess our next is the Honda Pilot

19:54But give it a little test drive and then we'll kind of compare after the black interior you do. Mm-hmm. I

20:02Think it really do. It's really pretty you put my cool seats on I can feel it

20:08I was like, why is it getting air on there? So this one has a camera as well your backup camera

20:13Which is what you love and this was a 2020

20:19That's right, we have more kids we're gonna be a great big old suburban car here

20:26Okay, pretty good visibility of this on this as well. It's very comfortable

20:31Do I look like a cool mom in this one to always?

20:35Now I don't think it's your forerunner look

20:40Well, I like the lifted why but the ones that really get no gas mileage

20:49I just said always one day. I'll be a cool soccer mom and a forerunner

20:53I just don't know right now is the time to get one of those

20:56Yes, or if it's in a couple of years when my kids are older now

21:00How's the like just the drive of this like is it driving? I feel like it's a little easier to turn

21:05Okay, this one is a little it. I think it's smaller. And so it's easier. Yeah to like loop this thing around

22:13They had a Kia Telluride here. He also had the Toyota forerunner

22:17So we got to drive both of them and he said you should go check out the Honda pilot

22:22So we're gonna go check out. That's I think our third like small SUV we want

22:26Yeah that we've like yeah that online and stuff, but I feel like we really like both of those vehicles

22:32I know you love the look of the forerunner

22:35But the inside of the Telluride because I think they're like a little bit luxury

22:40Yeah, it does. Where's the other one? It's a little more like like you said durable holds the wreath on

22:47paper is better

22:49So like it does look like I think what you said earlier was very true

22:52You said that the forerunner drove like kind of like a truck and a truck inside

22:57and then like the

22:59Like it I grew up with a Suburban

23:01My family had one for a couple years and that's kind of what it felt like driving it almost like a larger

23:07Yeah, big car so I'm gonna put you to the test to see which one you like now

23:11Let's go drive the Honda pilot and then we'll just kind of gauge from there and then maybe we can end up getting one

23:26Vehicle that we're looking into the Honda pilot and then we can kind of compare all of the pros and cons all of them

24:36Babe, this might be the move. This might be a happy medium between the other two like it has still a lot of cool features

24:46I grew up on Honda's. I used to have a minivan

24:51My first car was a minivan

24:53I've ever talked about that. I bought it simply to road trip with my friends to Colorado

25:00And I'm like set to not get another minivan

25:03So I'm trying to find a cool course or a minivan, but it did do it drove really well

25:08This is nice that the screen is really nice

25:12This one is definitely fancy. It's a newer a lot newer than the other two

25:16I think that we looked at but we're gonna we're gonna go drive it

25:19Lots of traffic everywhere I would probably I definitely wouldn't go just circle

25:25Maybe I'll just circle the parking lot whichever you feel comfortable. Yeah, that's probably it

25:29You just want to fill up the drive. Yeah, they turn it and stuff like that. And then I press this one, right?

25:34Yep, you're gonna drive. This is gonna be the nicest one out of our options, babe

25:44My family had a minivan years ago and they do drive so smooth. Yeah, the Odyssey

25:55Cool mom car. So she's like narrowed it down to those

26:02Straight if you want to drive around a little bit more I feel like I'm gonna

26:12Gotta do I park it in the same spot all the way. You can party whichever one

26:16Um, I feel like it's also because it's 2025 anything like 2025, you know

26:23Okay, so Trace is talking with the salesperson

26:28But I thought the Honda was gonna be my lowest on three

26:30I thought it was gonna be the forerunner and then the Telluride and then the Honda

26:36But I just drove that thing and that thing is so nice

26:39It could partially because it's a brand new one, which I'm probably gonna get one

26:43That's a couple years old

26:44But that one was one of my favorite that one is my favorite that I would say out of all three

26:50so I think we're just going to

26:53try to decide and just

26:55Pick which one we like best and think about it for a little bit and then get one

27:02Whenever we find the perfect one, but yeah, I did love looking at all the cars

27:08I was saying I was surprised how much I liked the Honda

27:12I thought it was gonna be at the bottom of the three

27:14I want to say I thought to the forerunner is gonna be the top

27:17But the forerunner I just say it might be moving its wheels. I

27:23Don't know you can't don't know it out yet. Let's think about it. I love the look of it the drive

27:29I don't know. Yeah, I feel like I don't live in the country enough to meet the powerful car

27:35That's more of like a truck kind of feel but the Honda pilot be the only one they had was the 2025

27:41So that is different

27:42So we did the 2025 of that the 2024 of the Toyota forerunner and the 2022 of the Kia Telluride

27:49Yeah, so maybe I need to

27:51Also on another day come back and drive in an older version of it, but it's hard to beat those

27:58Actually, I'm really simple that people were so kind showed us around let us drive it around like Lydia drove it

28:05It was really nice

28:06It was really simple and it's like I guess it's the perfect thing to do to actually like driving for yourself and know

28:12Okay, this is what I like. This is what I don't like even if we try to find it

28:16You know in a different place for cheaper or online or something like that

28:20At least we know what vehicle you like which one has a space which one has the room stuff like that

28:25That's crazy as smooth as that car was the visibility was not as good as the other two

28:31Like the yeah looking but it has every type of camera you could possibly have to keep you from crashing

28:38So well, we definitely have things to go home and to consider and they kind of lay out the pros and the cons

28:44I feel like just off the top of my head

28:47I think you like the Honda pilot Kia Tayloride and then the Toyota 4Runner in that order

28:51So maybe just look and see what we can get

28:54Yeah, and if you guys have recommendations that of like a car that's maybe not on our list. It's a medium

29:00We'd love to go look at car mileage that

29:04Is still durable and good for kids third row. That's a big

29:08But not super big. No, maybe we'll go look at some more but yeah

29:15It just makes it feel like baby girl is coming soon, yes, it's all getting feeling very real
