00:00Hello everybody, how's it going? I'm here at the famous Orchards there, Wembley Stadium in the
00:04background. What a view, what a day, it's absolutely, it's El Scorchio in London. When you travel down
00:10from Newcastle, you sharp notice the weather. And we have a day early, just sampling the atmosphere,
00:14taking everything in ahead of what's going to be a huge, huge game for Newcastle tomorrow.
00:1970 years without domestic trophies, it's almost, it is laughable really isn't it when you think
00:23about it. Five final defeats at Wembley since Jimmy Scrooge lifted the FA Cup in 1955 after a
00:293-1 win against Manchester City. Are we just 24 hours away from that being banished to the history
00:35books and Bruno Guimaraes lifting the FA Cup, FA Cup, Carabao Cup up those Wembley steps,
00:41that famous Wembley. Challenge is big though, they've got Liverpool flying high in the Premier League,
00:48it's always Newcastle United doing it the hard way isn't it, it was always going to be Liverpool.
00:52I can only imagine the feeling, the sense of optimism down here, in and around all the bars
00:56which are black and white daft by the way as Newcastle fans everywhere, yet to see a single
01:00Liverpool shirt. If they were playing Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow I can imagine that enthusiasm
01:05would have been placed into overdrive. But yeah, so just on the game I thought I'd give you a few
01:11thoughts leading up to the game, 24 hours in the air, yeah what's the point of being
01:14doing this, doom and gloom and down in the dumps. The journalist head obviously
01:19goes with Liverpool as favourites, I don't think I'm spilling the beans too much on saying that,
01:24Liverpool got the Premier League sown up 10 games ago, however you don't need me to tell you that
01:28that's their bookie's favourite outcome, what's expected to happen. But what is the point of
01:36coming all the way down here, there's thousands of fans that have travelled a long way, the length
01:39and breadth of the country, many of them without a ticket, just to be part of this occasion that
01:44could potentially be life-changing for Newcastle United. What is the point of being doom and gloom,
01:48you need to have crumbs of comfort, you need to have crumbs of positivity and Newcastle have them,
01:53I believe Newcastle have them tomorrow going into that game. They've got players,
01:57they've got good players, not like they're going down there with a bunch of cloggers.
02:01Alexander Isak's arguably, he's been regarded by some as the best striker in the world,
02:06he's definitely up there among the best three or four strikers in the world, 22 goes across all
02:13competitions this season and he's always sort of troubled Van Dijk hasn't he, he's always troubled
02:17Liverpool whenever he's played, whenever he's played against them, if you think back to his
02:21debut, he gave Van Dijk jelly legs shouldn't he, scored one and should have had another but it was
02:27cruelly disallowed from offside and you look at that midfield three, Sadio Tonali, Bruno Guimara,
02:32Joe Linton, who would want to play against Joe Linton tomorrow, absolutely, he's going to be an
02:36absolute madman and I think that's as good a midfield as Liverpool, I would definitely,
02:42if Newcastle can win the midfield battle tomorrow, and they did a couple of weeks ago in Anfield,
02:47that would certainly give them, certainly give them a foothold in the game,
02:52it's honestly, keeping Salah quiet is going to be the key, best player on the planet right now and
02:57our Liverpool got knocked out of the Champions League the other day, he's a, he's different
03:00class isn't he, he was pretty quiet the other week, Lewis Hall did a decent job with him,
03:04it's going to be Tino Liverpool tomorrow with Lewis Hall out for the rest of the season, I've
03:08been saying it for weeks, this Carabao Cup final has been all-encompassing, it's been all everyone's
03:12wanted to talk about for weeks, I just think chin up, chest out and go for it, you've got the hopes
03:18of a whole farm base that are desperate for success, Liverpool aren't really, they shouldn't
03:22really be too bothered if they get beat tomorrow, I mean the dining out of FA Cups, Carabao Cups,
03:27Premier League, they've already got another one on the way, this means so much, this is life or
03:31death for Newcastle United, I just think some people crumble under pressure, it's happened
03:36for Newcastle five times since the last one, the FA Cup, this is the time, this is, you've got,
03:41you get the feeling that this group of players with the feel-good factor since the takeover,
03:45and now they lost two years ago, they've grown as a team since then, this group of players
03:51should weaponise their support tomorrow, they should use it as fuel, use two years ago as fuel
03:57alongside the support and just go for it, leave it all out there, Newcastle fans will be devastated
04:01tomorrow if they get beat, but if they'll go out there and have a good go, which they never have
04:05done at Wembley, 2-0 every time they seem to get beat, I think they'll still get clapped off at
04:10the end, it's going to be a big one, it's going to be huge, I think the first goal is going to be
04:13key, if Newcastle can get that first goal, give them something to get that energy going in the
04:19crowd, you never know, you never know, it's going to be massive, it's going to be huge,
04:23we're going to be giving you full coverage throughout the day, myself, Liam Kennedy and
04:27Jordan Crone, what I'll do in there, we're going to be at Covent Garden later on with the sunshine,
04:31I might just go and get myself a pint, take care of everybody and hopefully, hopefully, fingers
04:35crossed that Toonton get it over the line for you.
