00:00Something you touched on a little bit earlier, but I just want to get more from you on that.
00:05NATO has never encountered such an overhaul of global alliances.
00:10Is the world's most powerful military alliance able to transform and survive?
00:17You know, NATO has really proven, since the end of the Cold War particularly,
00:22that it can adapt to geopolitical changes.
00:26They certainly adapted after the Cold War ended during the 1990s.
00:29As they enlarged NATO, during the time of counterterrorism after 9-11,
00:35NATO was very involved in helping to fight terrorism,
00:39including having missions in Afghanistan and in Iraq.
00:43And now with the rise of Russia and aggressive Putin, they've risen to that challenge
00:49and they've adapted their military strategy to handle the protection and the deterrence,
00:55the protection of allies and the deterrence of Russia.
00:57So it will survive. It will absolutely survive.
01:01And I think a lot depends on what the U.S. will do, how engaged the U.S. will be.
01:11But regardless, NATO will be around and NATO will be able to adapt itself.
