00:00Because you were thinking and feeling a certain way about everything as it was crossing yesterday.
00:04I felt like, Speigs, that what we saw yesterday, I think is a really good thing.
00:10And for those who had questions about it, Ben Johnson is as involved as any head coach
00:18in the league with the personnel decisions that are being made.
00:22And guess what?
00:23I'm good with it.
00:25I like this.
00:26I'm glad that Ryan Poles has a partner.
00:30And that's why I'm going to keep talking about them.
00:33This feels like a partnership.
00:36And it feels like Ryan Poles listening to his partner and saying, okay, let's go get
00:42you the things that you need.
00:44You want these dirty, down in the dirt type players?
00:48Tough, gritty, dirty, and smart.
00:51Let's go get some of those.
00:53What characterizes that for you?
00:56And then Ben Johnson will tell them, these are the type of players that I like, including
01:00a player that he used to coach.
01:02And then you see the momentum that's built up from that.
01:07I love it.
01:08I love that the head coach of the Bears is not in the background.
01:13And that's what's been going on for the last three years.
01:16You have a guy that's just kind of, here are the raw materials, do what you can.
01:21This makes more sense.
01:24That's not the way it's supposed to go.
01:26And that's what we saw over the last three years, especially once they kind of emerged
01:31from the changeover of the roster and you had last year, and that's the year that the
01:37coach is supposed to impart his vision.
01:41You're supposed to be seeing his idea of how he wants them to play, and we never got away
01:47from it.
01:48We never got away from just a guy trying to flail with whatever Ryan Poles gave him.
01:53This is how it's actually supposed to work, especially in the NFL, but really in lots
01:59of sports.
