00:00Season 22 of Top Chef, what does it mean to you when you hear, you know, season 22?
00:07We are not young anymore. I guess we're officially adults. Season 21 allowed us to drink legally
00:14and here we are coming into our own. I mean, it's incredible. It's been an awesome run,
00:20but also has like really stood the test of time. Really has. So besides going to Canada
00:25this season, what's new? What's fresh? Like 15 great chefs competing for the title of Top Chef.
00:32I mean, I mean, everything's new. The landscape is different. The challenges are different. The
00:36food that they're cooking is different. And I think that is the beauty of Top Chef is that,
00:40you know, they have been to many locations introduced to so many chefs around the world.
00:46And every single plate of food is different and every location and challenge is tailor
00:49made for that location. It's really amazing. It seems like you've got a great crop of
00:53chefs too. Like they're really, you said, I think in the trailer that you had the best meal
00:56that you've ever had, right? I think overall, this has been the best season food wise because
01:01so many chefs are doing great things. Usually it's, you know, five, six chefs are kind of
01:06edge everybody else out. But this was, this was a real race. Everybody was just doing such a great
01:10job. You know, being it was your, being that it's your second season as, you know, a host,
01:15judge, did you approach it any differently? I probably just internally more confident and
01:21like sure of myself, I think, you know, going from the first time to the second time,
01:25there's going to be a jump in confidence. And I certainly felt that. But I mean,
01:29the heart and the soul is, is the chefs and what they're doing and the storytelling.
01:34And so it's also really kind of takes me aback every single time I do it from the first time
01:39to our last finale, you're just going to sit back and you're like, Oh my God, like we just,
01:44we just got to experience that.
