Ex-guide dog can’t stop guiding owner with normal eyesight

Ex-guide dog Joey, a seven-year-old Labrador Retriever cross, can’t forget his training and clings to his owner’s clothing as he follows her around.

Despite not making the cut as a guide dog due to his anxious nature, Joey is now a beloved pet who still attempts to guide Izzy Rosenblatt, 32, by pulling her to safety during stressful situations.

Izzy, a trainee therapist from Liverpool, cherishes Joey’s loyalty and sees his story as a reminder that there’s always an alternative path in life.
