00:00Going back to your early years, your childhood when you would, you know, play with your sister's dolls and decide to dress them up.
00:07I remember you saying that that's when you first thought that, you know, or first realized that you wanted to be a fashion designer.
00:14Yes, actually that was one of the, parang, aha moments that I'd like to become a designer.
00:19Because I was very unhappy with the clothes of the dolls that they were buying.
00:23I found it as a little cheesy and it was a little sort of like demoday.
00:28Now it's different, but during then when you would buy dolls, parang ang baduy-baduy ng mga, puro pink, puro pastel.
00:35So essentially I said, maybe this is my calling.
00:39So how would you dress up the dolls? May mga retaso ba kayo sa bahay?
00:43Yeah, well, I would sort of like go to my mother's closet and see what she wasn't using and I would really, you know, sew it.
00:51So you would cut it up?
00:52I would cut it up.
00:53With permission?
00:54Well, no, because no, so I would really be punished.
00:59When she finds out?
01:00When she finds out, all of a sudden, pag tingin niya, may butas na yung loob sa niya.
01:04But yeah, I mean, you know, I was a very rambunctious and naughty child, creative.
01:09But because I was hiding, it was not something that was usually done by little boys.
01:15So I usually sort of like kept that from everyone.
01:18But what was your inspiration for their clothes? Would it be stuff you see on TV?
01:22I remember it vividly, a punk, punk and new wave.
01:25I literally sort of like made little sort of like dresses from safety pins and everything was sort of like black and goth and dark.
