00:00Malacanang clarified that the court of the Philippines is still open for victims of war on drugs who want to file a case against former President Rodrigo Duterte
00:11even though he was already arrested by the International Criminal Court.
00:15According to PCO Undersecretary Claire Castro, the government appointed Duterte as the executioner
00:21at the request of the Interpol and in accordance with Section 70 of RA 9851, which prohibits the extradition of the accused to the International Courts.
00:31In addition, the government has no waiver in its right to pursue Duterte in the Philippines.
00:38Even so, Malacanang clarified that the Philippines still does not recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC
00:44and the government has no plans to re-enter the country.
