00:00WNBA superstar and Olympic gold medalist Sabrina Ionescu is amazed with the Filipinos' love for basketball.

00:08Let's look at the highlights on the second day of the Athletes Manila Tour.

00:12Jamaica Bayaka has the report.

00:17It is no longer a secret that basketball is anchored in the Philippine culture and traditions.

00:22For a basketball superstar Sabrina Ionescu, witnessing the love of the Filipinos for this sport is an important experience.

00:29I think my favorite experience from being here is the basketball culture and being able to see the support that the fans have showed.

00:37How nice everyone is, the food is amazing, the weather has been good so far.

00:42So I would say just being able to be here in person and take it all in has been the most exciting part.

00:49And obviously the fan love and support is kind of like none other.

00:53So it's been really fun to see that first hand and kind of be able to give back to the community here.

00:59The 27-year-old New York Liberty point guard is in the country now as part of her Asian tour.

01:04Sabrina's mission is not just to surprise the Filipino basketball fans who admire her, but to help improve the increasing popularity of women's basketball.

01:13I mean I think you can't settle and obviously we're at the point where we're at in women's sports and basketball.

01:19But we're far kind of you know to where we want to go.

01:23There's still so much more that we want to accomplish and continuing to fight for equality and continuing to grow the game in different areas aside from the United States.

01:33And so for us it's kind of that understanding of enjoying the moment where you're at right now but not being satisfied with just that and wanting to continue to get better.

01:41This Tuesday night, Sabrina played an exhibition game with some of the stars in the Philippine basketball scene.

01:47The WNBA champion Olympic gold medalist did not miss out on hits from the original Filipino innovation, 4-point line.

01:54The silencer also faced some of the country's best shooter in the 3-point shootout.

01:59After winning the challenge, UNESCO also experienced the Filipino basketball tradition, Lusutan.

02:05Meanwhile, Sabrina will visit Bulacan for a court unveiling event before heading to her next Asian tour destination, Jamaica, Bayaka from the National TV Network for a new and better Philippines.
