This week's All Wednesday sees us take a trip down memory lane with former Sheffield Wednesday defender, Tommy Spurr, who played in lots of Steel City derbies both in the academy and at senior level... He had a pretty good record against the Blades, too! Unfortunately technical issues mean that some of this episode was lost, but please enjoy what we managed to salvage.

00:00You mentioned Liam Palmer there. Was there much of a crossover with you and Liam?
00:05I know that you were at the club for a little period.
00:08Yes, so when Alan Irvine went in charge, he broke through and came into training with us.
00:15I actually roomed with him when he first started coming on away trips and stuff.
00:21So he got in with myself, Beebs, and obviously the younger lads that had been in the academy,
00:27it just seemed like the natural sort of way in.
00:30But no, Palmers is a great lad and what he's done is unbelievable really.
00:36I think the success that he's had, how well he's done and, more importantly, what a good person he is.
00:41I think you've seen everything that he's done supporting GMO and myself as well,
00:47with everything that we've been through.
00:50Everything that he does is a class act, he's Palmers.
00:54I think anyone who's had any dealings with Liam Palmer knows exactly what you're talking about.
01:00Unfortunately, that is all we've got time for here.
01:03Hopefully, Liam Palmer will be celebrating a victory at the weekend.
01:07We can all cross fingers for that.
01:09Tommy, thank you so much for your time. It's been an absolute pleasure.
01:12Hopefully, we'll see a first-minute goal from Sheffield Wednesday again, come this weekend.
01:17Hopefully. Fingers crossed.
01:20Cheers, Tommy.
01:21Cheers, mate. Thank you.
01:24Cheers, mate.
