00:00Today, we made an offer that the Ukrainians have accepted, which is to enter into a ceasefire
00:05and into immediate negotiations to end this conflict in a way that's enduring and sustainable
00:10and accounts for their interests, their security, their ability to prosper as a nation.
00:15I want to personally thank, we both want to thank the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Majesty
00:19for hosting us, for making this possible.
00:20They've been instrumental in this process and we're very grateful to them for hosting
00:24us here today.
00:25And hopefully, we'll take this offer now to the Russians.
00:28And we hope that they'll say yes, that they'll say yes to peace.
00:30The ball is now in their court.
00:33But again, the President's objective here is number one, above everything else, he wants
00:37the war to end.
00:38And I think today, Ukraine has taken a concrete step in that regard.
00:41We hope the Russians will reciprocate.
00:43The Ukrainian delegation today made something very clear, that they share President Trump's
00:50vision for peace.
00:52They share his determination to end the fighting, to end the killing, to end the tragic meat
01:00grinder of people and national treasure that's happening on the front in Ukraine.
01:08Number one.
01:09Number two, they made concrete steps and concrete proposals, not only accepting our proposal
01:18for a full ceasefire, which you can see the details of which are in our joint statement
01:25that we released together, but we also got into substantive details on how this war is
01:31going to permanently end, what type of guarantees they're going to have for their long-term
01:39security and prosperity, but also really looking at what it's going to take to finally end
01:48this horrific fighting.
02:18And today, in the conversation, there was a proposal from the American side to take the
02:26first step right away, and for 30 days try to establish a full ceasefire, not only for
02:36missiles, drones and bombs, not only in the Black Sea, but also along the entire front
02:43line.
02:44Ukraine accepts this proposal, we consider it positive, we are ready to take such a
02:51step.
02:52The United States of America must convince Russia to do this.
02:58That is, we agree, and if the Russians agree, at that very moment, the silence will work.
03:07The important element of today's conversation is the readiness of the United States to restore
03:14the defense assistance to Ukraine, as well as the intelligence assistance.
03:19When the agreements work, then during these 30 days of silence, we can have time to prepare
03:27with our partners at the level of working documents all aspects for the reliability of peace and
03:34security.
