00:00Last week, all Americans who watched the State of the Union saw a very triumphant President
00:09Trump who's returned to the White House with even more energy, more vigor, and more
00:15focus to work for the American people than ever before, laying out in just six short
00:20weeks how much he's already done to fulfill the promises of the campaign, to deliver on
00:24the mandate that 77 million Americans came to the polls and said, we want to change the
00:31way Washington works.
00:33And they sent President Trump and J.D. Vance as the Vice President to go and accomplish
00:37those things.
00:38And in six short weeks, so many of those things have already been accomplished, or the work
00:44and the foundation has been laid to get that done.
00:47And what did we see from the Democrats?
00:50As Lisa McClain talked about, sitting down, not even celebrating a 13-year-old boy who
00:58just beat his battle with cancer and was made an honorary member of the Secret Service,
01:02one of the most touching moments I've seen in a lot of State of the Unions, and they
01:05couldn't even stand up for that.
01:08My friends, the Democrat Party of today is a leaderless, rudderless ship.
01:15They have no direction.
01:16They have no ideas.
01:17They have no concern about the successes of the American people.
01:21They can't applaud victories for the American people.
01:24They couldn't even applaud paying tribute to the widow of a woman whose husband, as
01:31a police officer, was slain in the line of duty.
01:34That's who the Democrat Party in Washington is.
01:38So many Americans who consider themselves Democrats have left that party because the
01:43Democrat Party has left them behind.
01:45A lot of those Democrats voted for Donald Trump and voted to put us in the majority,
01:49both in the House and Senate, because they're tired of the hatred and the anger that fuels
01:55today's Democrat Party.
01:57They want to see people that are going to go to work fighting for them.
02:00And that's what we're doing.
02:01Today is another example of the House doing its job.
02:05We have a responsibility to deliver for the American people, and we're going to do it
02:09with or without the Democrat Party.
02:12You know, a lot of Democrats brought, we all get to bring a guest to the State of the Union.
02:16A lot of them brought federal workers as their guests to the State of the Union.
02:22They seem to act like they care about federal workers.
02:25You saw a lot of Democrats over the last few weeks show up at federal buildings with some
02:31federal employees who haven't been able to find their federal headquarters to go to work
02:38for the last three years, using COVID as an excuse.
02:41But they showed up to protest, to rally against rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in government.
02:48But ironically, those same Democrats who claim to care about federal workers, today almost
02:54all of them will vote to furlough those federal workers that they claim to care about.
02:59How's that for showing appreciation for the people who work for this federal government?
03:05You know, and all of them have said quotes, and the Speaker's laid out a great video that
03:09lays out a lot of the quotes that Democrats have made over the years about shutting down government.
03:14Yet today, many of them will vote to shut down the government.
03:18And for what reason?
03:20As it's been pointed out, Hakeem Jeffries came out against the bill before the text
03:24was even filed.
03:27And still to this day, if you watched in Rules Committee last night, you heard lie after
03:30lie by Democrats who were saying things that aren't even in the bill.
03:35You know, maybe 99 pages is too long for some of them to read.
03:38We gave them the whole weekend to read the bill.
03:40They can still read it through today.
03:41The vote's going to be this afternoon.
03:43But they don't want to read the bill.
03:46They don't want to know what's really in the bill.
03:48They're just fueled by anger.
03:51Anger that Donald Trump won the election.
03:52Anger that 77 million people went to the polls and demanded a change in the way Washington
03:58works.
03:59Well, I've got a message for my Democrat friends out there.
04:02Whether you like it or not, the American people demanded change, and we're going to deliver
04:06that change for them with or without this wild, reckless, far-left, progressive Democrat
04:12party of today.
04:14They don't represent the American people.
04:16They're fighting against the will of the American people.
04:19But we, as the Republican majority, are going to deliver for those families who are struggling,
04:24who want relief, who want help, who want to get Washington off of their back and want
04:28lower costs.
04:29We're going to do that.
04:31We passed a bill over to the Senate.
04:32We're going to urge our Senate, once we finish this bill, the Senate's got to start
04:36moving on the House budget that we sent to them weeks ago.
04:40Everybody's got a job to do around here.
04:41We're going to do ours today.
04:43And the leader who's heading that effort up is our Speaker, Mike Johnson.
