AccuWeather's Leslie Hudson was on the scene in Longwood, Florida, to hear from survivors of a tornado that ripped through central Florida on March 10.

00:00So a rare EF2 tornado touched down in this neighborhood just north of Orlando, Florida.
00:06You can see this home completely destroyed.
00:08There were two people inside that home when the tornado came through this area about 930
00:13this morning.
00:14Thankfully, they were not injured.
00:16But this is just one of multiple homes in the Longwood area in central Florida that
00:21had serious or substantial damage from this EF2 tornado.
00:26Now, the National Weather Service says they were tracking this line of weather from the
00:30Tampa Bay area early this morning and watched the storms cross the state.
00:34And as they got into this part of central Florida, they turned into these tornadic storms
00:38that created this damage.
00:40We talked to several people that live in this neighborhood, one that witnessed this tornado
00:44firsthand.
00:45I heard like a train going by.
00:47I had my garage door open and I came outside and I seen the wind and it was so scary.
00:54It was just, you know, I mean, you get scared and then 30, 40 seconds later, it just, you
00:59know, came down.
01:00Another homeowner also had substantial damage and his son-in-law came out here early this
01:05morning to check on them.
01:06They are OK, but also their home is uninhabitable.
01:10They took shelter in place and I mean, it was pretty loud and everything.
01:15But after everything passed, you know, they went outside, their tree had fallen over.
01:19The neighbor across the street's house was ripped off the top.
01:22And just as ironic as that storm moved through this area this morning, the sun is out now.
01:28Blue skies are around, is expected to be a gorgeous afternoon here in the central Florida
01:32area.
01:33But many homeowners here will have a long road ahead with lots of cleanup underway as
01:38crews continue to survey the damage from this tornado that touched down just north of Orlando,
01:43Florida earlier today.
