00:00Welcome to Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2025.
00:05This is the home to all things tech
00:06and mobile connectivity in Europe
00:08and gives us a glimpse into the future of our lives.
00:11Every technology revolution from steam engines to digital
00:16has been the driving force of human progress.
00:23AI has been the word on everybody's lips
00:25for the past few years, but 2025 is set to be the year
00:28it goes beyond our mobile phones and computers
00:31and opens up our world to new ways
00:33to plan our lives and be creative.
00:35Technology boundaries will be expanded
00:38if we can do the following things,
00:41reinvent traditional smartphone with AI,
00:45revolutionize human device interaction
00:49and reinvent PCs, tablets and wearables with AI,
00:54achieving seamless connectivity.
00:59Everywhere you look this year,
01:01people are talking about agentic AI.
01:03That's when AI acts as an agent for us
01:05to perform a task from a simple prompt.
01:08So what we start seeing for the last two years
01:11is that the AI is becoming absolutely mandatory
01:14in all the mobile devices.
01:16There are a lot of things that are going to become more
01:19and more interesting in a sense
01:21that we're gonna ease the work
01:22or reduce the number of clicks you start doing
01:24on your mobile phone.
01:26So I'm gonna show you our AI agents
01:28and you can book a restaurant with just one sentence.
01:31I want to enjoy some local food nearby.
01:33Can you book me a restaurant for three people 8 p.m. tonight?
01:38So right here we can see the AI agent is handling the task
01:42and everything is automatic.
01:44So the only thing left for us to do
01:46is just to click the reserve button and it's all done.
01:50Brilliant.
01:51Can I have a go?
01:52Can you book me a restaurant for five people
01:55at 8 p.m. today within a 15 minute drive
01:58from the conference center
02:00and with good vegetarian options.
02:02That's my dinner plan sorted.
02:03Let's see what it's like later on.
02:05Whilst agentic AI is going to help us on our mobile phones,
02:09other types of AI are going to start appearing
02:11across all sorts of devices.
02:13Some manufacturers, like Honor,
02:15hope to open up connectivity to allow all devices,
02:18no matter the brand, to talk to each other.
02:20I think for years we've all understood
02:22the value of open ecosystems,
02:24but that doesn't mean in a lot of cases
02:25people haven't been locked into one.
02:27You see this in devices all the time.
02:29I bought a new tablet in part because
02:32I could get a tablet from the same maker as my smartphone.
02:34They work well together.
02:36But when we broaden that ecosystem,
02:37I can get the best of the best innovation
02:39from multiple players and also potentially
02:42convince some people that maybe are outside
02:44my ecosystem to join mine.
02:47Now it's time to leave the Mobile World Congress ecosystem
02:50and see how the AI agent did with my dinner reservation.
