00:00A lawyer who has an obligation from the Philippines was also given a chance to help if Interpol will pass the rest warrant issued by the ICC.

00:09But what effect will that have on the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte?

00:18House Prosecutor and Manila 3rd District Representative Joel Chua believes

00:24that the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte can still continue

00:29even if she is included in the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court

00:34under the name of War on Drugs of her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.

00:38For now, it is hot to talk about this even though there is no confirmation

00:43if the ICC really issued a warrant and who is going to pass it.

00:49I believe that the impeachment trial will continue

00:52unless, of course, she asks for her presence.

00:55Insofar as the VP is concerned, that is a different story

00:59because she is the subject of this impeachment complaint.

01:07Chua said that even though the Philippines is no longer a member of the ICC,

01:11the country still has a legal and diplomatic obligation

01:15to help if the process will be passed by the International Criminal Police Organization or Interpol.

01:22We are still a part of Interpol.

01:25In fact, when we were looking for Alice Guo in other countries,

01:31we also asked for help and support from Interpol.

01:35That is why it is not good for us to be excluded from this

01:40because if we are the ones in need, they are the ones accommodating us

01:45because we are members of this organization.

01:47As part of the preparation for the impeachment trial,

01:50the House Secretary General Reginald Velasco formally asked Senate President Francis Escudero

01:56to pass the House Prosecution Panel and their secretary to the work and holding area in the Senate

02:01so that they can proceed with the investigation.

02:04If the target of the Director-General of the House of Representatives
