00:00A fugitive South Korean national was arrested again.

00:04Ben Manalo helped him escape and he was also shot in the center of the news.

00:16The fugitive South Korean national who was arrested by the Bureau of Immigration and Philippine National Police in Barangay Pampang-Angeles City, Pampanga, was not able to escape.

00:28The South Korean fugitive survived for five days.

00:31His companion, Chang Chang Byum, who helped him escape, was also arrested.

00:38Chang Byum was also known in their country because of the cases of fraud.

00:44Ik-Yeon will be remembered after his interrogation in Quezon City Hall.

00:49He was accompanied by two escorts from the BI Warden Facility and the driver.

00:54Our operatives of the Fugitive Search Unit were able to get a copy of the CCTV around the city hall as well as the areas they went to.

01:06We were able to prove that these people, these escorts, are lying.

01:15The Bureau of Immigration was also investigated for the possibility of fraud by the suspect and the people of the BI and everything was planned.

01:24From the evidence we saw, the actions of our people are very suspicious.

01:30These are not normal activities of our personnel.

01:37It looks like there are connivance of these people who escorted him to the court.

01:46It is impossible that there is no connivance of these people who helped him escape.

01:58Possibly, this is not limited to these three people.

02:02We are still investigating if there are other people involved because before this happened, it looks like this is an orchestrated event.

02:15The BI considered Ik-Yeon a high-profile fugitive because of the illegal activities he was involved in in their country.

02:23It can be said that Ik-Yeon was arrested in 2023 in Clark International Airport for the use of a Peking passport.

02:31But he was not immediately deported because his case is still being investigated in the country.

02:37For now, the fugitives will be brought to the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
