00:30Welcome. We welcome you once again.
00:33This is our segment on Niki.
00:35Today's guests and today's institution are very famous.
00:39Please tell us about it.
00:40Absolutely. When we think of the word Niki,
00:43the few people or institutions that come to our mind,
00:47Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan is at the forefront.
00:50And obviously, all the people who are watching will also support this.
00:53Because in Pakistan, if there is a flood, a flood, or any kind of disaster,
00:58we see the presence of Al-Khidmat.
01:00We see the volunteers of Al-Khidmat.
01:02If there is any kind of disaster all over the world,
01:05Alhamdulillah, Al-Khidmat Foundation is there as our pride.
01:10You can talk about all the wars in the world.
01:12Al-Khidmat Foundation is especially needed by the Muslim Ummah.
01:16Alhamdulillah, we see it there.
01:18I just went to Turkey when there was an earthquake.
01:20The equipment of Al-Khidmat, the volunteers of Al-Khidmat,
01:22the institutions that are working there,
01:24Alhamdulillah, are present everywhere.
01:27In Pakistan, today we will talk specifically about the program for the care of orphans.
01:32Of course, there are many fronts and institutions where Al-Khidmat is working.
01:38But today we will talk about the care of orphans.
01:40And it is important to talk about Palestine.
01:43Because if we talk about Al-Khidmat,
01:45and if we don't talk about the services of Al-Khidmat in Palestine and Gaza,
01:49it will be inappropriate.
01:50We are very thankful to the head of Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan,
01:54Dr. Hafizur Rehman.
01:56Doctor, thank you so much for your presence.
01:59And again, on behalf of the whole nation,
02:01Al-Khidmat Foundation and all the volunteers,
02:05we are all thankful that Al-Khidmat is one of the few positive institutions.
02:12More than 32,000 orphans are being cared for.
02:16Alhamdulillah, Al-Khidmat Foundation is probably the biggest institution in Pakistan
02:19that cares for orphans.
02:21Alhamdulillah.
02:22So tell us about where this program is going.
02:26Where are the Aghosh Homes in Pakistan?
02:29First of all, I would like to thank you and Airway for this opportunity.
02:35And in this blessed month of Ramadan,
02:37we are sitting here and discussing this.
02:40You said in the intro that the nation is thankful.
02:44I don't think so.
02:46Al-Khidmat Foundation is the nation.
02:48What do you mean?
02:49Al-Khidmat Foundation is an organization that works for the well-being of the people.
02:55We will talk about orphans later,
02:57but Al-Khidmat Foundation is actually involved in the formation of a society.
03:03And for the formation of a society,
03:05you yourself know better,
03:07that we will have to focus on the youth,
03:10who are our strength.
03:12If Pakistan has a population of 24 crore,
03:14then 16 crore are youth.
03:16What do you mean?
03:17If you give education to 16 crore youth,
03:20give them health,
03:22give them direction,
03:24vision,
03:25objective,
03:26purpose,
03:27then no one can stop this nation from developing.
03:30So basically, Al-Khidmat Foundation,
03:32which works in 8 departments,
03:34they are all involved in the formation of a society.
03:38Now see, if we want to give education,
03:41then 2.62 crore children,
03:43who should go to school,
03:45they don't go to school right now.
03:47So no NGO can reach them.
03:49So Al-Khidmat Foundation thought,
03:51that the most vulnerable segment should be addressed.
03:56So they are orphans,
03:58those 4.4 crore children,
04:00whose parents are not there,
04:04and half of them are not even going to school,
04:06because their parents can't afford it.
04:09So we addressed that,
04:11that first of all,
04:12this area should be looked at,
04:14and they should be sent to school in some way,
04:17for their education and training.
04:19So for that,
04:20having faith in Allah,
04:22and keeping in mind the people of Pakistan,
04:25we made a program,
04:27first in 2006,
04:28we made such a program,
04:29that children, orphans,
04:31should be given a place,
04:33that place should be so respected,
04:35that it shouldn't be called an orphanage,
04:37there shouldn't be any stigma,
04:38we gave it the name of Agosh,
04:40meaning the name of a mother's lap.
04:42So when the first Agosh was made,
04:44the standard we set for it,
04:46was that the children who will come here,
04:49should at least be given the standard,
04:51that is given to our own children.
04:53Allah liked this thing a lot,
04:56so not just one Agosh,
04:58but two, three, four,
05:00were made.
05:01Right now there are 23 Agosh in the whole of Pakistan,
05:04one of them is in Turkey,
05:05which looks after the children of Syria,
05:07you have seen it too,
05:09and apart from that,
05:1110 more Agosh are being made.
05:13Then in 2012,
05:14we thought that this is not enough,
05:17we should make some other program,
05:19that those children,
05:21who are orphans,
05:22but their mother's shadow is on them,
05:24or some other relative can see them,
05:26they have a roof,
05:28so some arrangement should be made for them,
05:30that their food and drink should be in their homes,
05:33and those children should be able to go to school.
05:35Then we did the enrollment,
05:37and decided that we will take care of 5000 children,
05:41and basically,
05:43it was a program to mix the recipient with the donor,
05:47that you identify a child,
05:49who is in need,
05:51an orphan,
05:52he doesn't go to school,
05:53he needs this thing,
05:55and on the other side,
05:56you identify a donor,
05:58you bring him in a program,
06:00so that he can give,
06:01and this child can be taken care of.
06:03Allah liked this thing a lot,
06:05and you see,
06:06we decided that we will take care of 5000 children,
06:08and right now,
06:09more than 30,000 children,
06:11are under that program,
06:13and along with that,
06:14you have Aghosh's children,
06:15and those street children,
06:17who we call,
06:18who are looking for their livelihood,
06:20from the garbage,
06:22and in the morning,
06:23without washing their hands,
06:24bare feet,
06:25without having breakfast,
06:26on the pile of garbage,
06:27they are looking for their livelihood,
06:29we addressed them,
06:31and made their centers,
06:32child protection centers,
06:34we started with one,
06:36and see what happens,
06:38we were so successful,
06:39that right now,
06:40there are 86 such centers,
06:41in which 50 to 60 children,
06:43come there daily,
06:44and they are washed,
06:46clothed,
06:47fed,
06:48and their education is done,
06:50so in this way,
06:5135,000 such vulnerable children,
06:53who are orphans,
06:54or street children,
06:56and then their 20,000 mothers,
06:58this is also vulnerable,
07:00they have such a strong system,
07:03Alhamdulillah,
07:04with the help of the people of Pakistan,
07:06that right now,
07:07with the cost of 2.5 billion rupees,
07:09only this one program is going on,
07:11and we have 8 such programs,
07:13Alhamdulillah,
07:14and doctor,
07:15I did this for the convenience of the viewers,
07:17that when we talk about 20,000 mothers,
07:19and 35,000 children,
07:20this is a number of 55,000,
07:21meaning,
07:22probably,
07:23like Qazafi stadium,
07:243 or 2.5 stadiums,
07:26are full,
07:27so you can imagine,
07:29so many people,
07:30so many children,
07:31and women,
07:32whose lives,
07:33obviously,
07:34have changed a lot,
07:35Doctor,
07:36who is not aware of the services,
07:38in Zahir-e-Pakistan,
07:40and not just as much as we say,
07:42not as much as the newspaper,
07:43not as much as the news,
07:44people have seen your work,
07:45in the streets,
07:46in the neighbourhoods,
07:47whether it is,
07:48we are seeing the scenes of flood,
07:50wherever we go,
07:51Mashallah,
07:52your volunteers are also there,
07:53presence is also there,
07:54the facilities that can be there,
07:55for the people there,
07:56if we don't talk about Palestine,
07:58then it will be inappropriate,
08:00obviously,
08:01and again,
08:02internationally,
08:03Al-Khidmat,
08:04is really our pride,
08:06so in Palestine,
08:07in Gaza,
08:08till now,
08:09what are the services,
08:10of Al-Khidmat,
08:11and at this time,
08:12on what stage,
08:13and on what scale,
08:14is this discussion going on?
08:15Brother,
08:16I fully agree with you,
08:18that any gathering,
08:20any program,
08:21and if there is no mention of Palestine,
08:23then it will be a big controversy,
08:25that such a big,
08:26difficulties came there,
08:29which is still going on,
08:31I would like to present,
08:33a blessed thing to the people of Pakistan,
08:35that with the help of the people of Pakistan,
08:38with their cooperation,
08:39with their passion,
08:40Al-Khidmat Foundation,
08:41which is their own foundation,
08:43they have done a great job,
08:45in the matter of Palestine,
08:47see,
08:48you won't have that much time,
08:50to tell you the details,
08:51if I tell you a few things,
08:53that till now,
08:54we have 23 chartered airplanes,
08:57from where,
08:58we have sent Gaza,
09:00chartered planes,
09:0123 airplanes,
09:02which have taken the goods,
09:03apart from this,
09:04we have 3 sea consignments,
09:063,500 tonnes of goods,
09:09Mashallah,
09:10have been sent from Pakistan,
09:12on which,
09:13billions of rupees,
09:14have been spent on its freight,
09:16because if you send a plane,
09:17of 100 tonnes,
09:18then approximately,
09:1912-13 crore rupees,
09:20is its fare,
09:21we have sent these chartered planes,
09:23from here,
09:24right now,
09:25I am coming from my warehouse,
09:26believe me,
09:27even after sending so much,
09:29our warehouse is full,
09:31and in this month,
09:32we are sending 6 more planes,
09:34this process is going on,
09:36we have sent 25,000 tents,
09:3850,000 tarpaulins,
09:40and countless food packs,
09:42and women's hygiene kits,
09:44neonatal kits,
09:46birthing kits,
09:47we have sent a lot of things,
09:49but a big job that we have done,
09:51is to take care of the next generation,
09:54the next generation,
09:56their schools,
09:58their colleges,
09:59their universities,
10:00their hospitals,
10:01have all been destroyed,
10:02and to rebuild them,
10:04it will take at least 5 years,
10:06to rebuild that place,
10:08so it will take years to remove the rubble,
10:10minimum 5 years,
10:11even if you put up a tent,
10:13even then,
10:14in that we did this,
10:15first of all,
10:16I have been to Egypt,
10:17in this process,
10:18I have been to Egypt 5 times,
10:20I have been to Jordan,
10:21I have been to Lebanon,
10:22I have been to all those places,
10:24there, first of all,
10:25we searched for those children,
10:26who were studying there,
10:28in Egypt,
10:29but their families were destroyed,
10:31they were martyred,
10:32they could not afford it,
10:34so we took care of their safety,
10:36we made payments to their universities,
10:39then we got 25 children admitted to Turkey,
10:42their final year students,
10:45now those 25 children,
10:47who were studying in Turkey,
10:48Alhamdulillah,
10:49they completed their studies,
10:50one year has passed,
10:51they have graduated,
10:53apart from this,
10:54we have brought 175 medical and dental students,
10:57to Pakistan,
10:58they are studying in Pindi, Islamabad and Lahore,
11:02we are working on this,
11:04now we have made agreements with Rifa University,
11:07we are making agreements with some other universities,
11:09so we are bringing non-medical students,
11:12the first batch has arrived,
11:14I have received them the day before yesterday,
11:16at Islamabad airport,
11:18these children will stay here for 4-5 years,
11:20they will do B.S., M.S., M.Phil,
11:23they are students of Ph.D. program,
11:25the girls whom I have received the day before yesterday,
11:28there were 10 girls,
11:29these are 16, 17, 18 years old girls,
11:32some of their fathers are martyred,
11:34some of their mothers are martyred,
11:35some of their brothers and sisters are martyred,
11:37the medical student who was studying there,
11:39you can see her,
11:41she brought her sister with her,
11:43she is full of wounds,
11:46she is studying there,
11:48one of her children is with her,
11:50and she has brought a wounded sister,
11:52we are getting her treated in a big hospital in Islamabad,
11:55now that wounded girl,
11:57when we interviewed her,
11:59she said that when the explosion happened,
12:01and I fainted,
12:02and when I regained consciousness,
12:04my sister came to me,
12:06who is with her now,
12:07she said,
12:08my sister,
12:09you, me and my child are left,
12:11our parents are martyred,
12:13our siblings are martyred,
12:14our house is destroyed,
12:15we are the whole universe,
12:16now those two girls have come to Pakistan,
12:19I congratulate the people of Pakistan,
12:21I salute them,
12:23that they have welcomed them,
12:25they have kept them with them,
12:27we represent the people of Pakistan,
12:29now they are getting treated,
12:31they are studying,
12:33one thing I would like to clarify,
12:35that generally a lot of people,
12:37when it comes to Palestine,
12:38when it comes to Gaza,
12:39any Muslim,
12:41and especially Pakistani,
12:42whether they are here or overseas,
12:43they don't stop.
12:45But there are some concerns,
12:46some questions,
12:47I would like to clarify them.
12:48There is a general impression,
12:50that whatever we are giving for Gaza,
12:51it is not reaching there.
12:53Please clarify this.
12:54In this,
12:55it is a matter of seeing is believing.
12:56Yes, yes, absolutely.
12:57Right now,
12:58our 11,
12:59the youth of Gaza,
13:01our employees,
13:02who are inside Gaza,
13:04on a daily basis,
13:06the work that is done there,
13:07we make videos and send them,
13:09which we also see on social media.
13:11And the transfer of humanitarian aid,
13:14I myself go to Egypt,
13:16and send it there.
13:17Is this through Rafah crossing?
13:18Yes, yes.
13:19The thought that comes to mind,
13:20is that,
13:21the work is being done there,
13:23but the thought that comes to mind,
13:24is that Israel has closed all the roads,
13:26so it is not possible to reach there,
13:27so how to reach there?
13:28Please explain this.
13:29This is a very good question.
13:30When Rafah was closed in May,
13:32in 2024,
13:34after that,
13:35there is another crossing,
13:38it is called Kareem Shalom.
13:40It was opened,
13:42and its main entry was from Jordan.
13:44From Jordan,
13:45you cross the entire West Bank,
13:48it takes 7-8 hours,
13:49to go from Kareem Shalom.
13:51Before the war,
13:53500-600 trucks used to go daily.
13:56So by May 2025,
13:58100-125 trucks used to go.
14:00It was limited,
14:01but all the goods were there.
14:03After that,
14:04they completely closed Rafah,
14:06and let only Kareem Shalom go.
14:07So we adopted that route,
14:09and reached Jordan.
14:10We made agreements with the government there,
14:12with the Hashemite Foundation,
14:13and we kept going from there.
14:14Let me tell you one more thing,
14:16100,000 people left from there,
14:19the injured people,
14:21came to Egypt.
14:22This is very important.
14:23The people who are living in Egypt,
14:24we have made a system of care for them.
14:26We have an office there,
14:27a warehouse.
14:28We have renovated the entire buildings,
14:31and kept the families there.
14:34And let me tell you,
14:35we started a program for orphans there.
14:38We came from Egypt last week.
14:41We took two big buildings there,
14:43and the families,
14:44the mothers,
14:45and their 4-5 children,
14:47we have given them a flat.
14:50For 3 years,
14:51we took them on rent,
14:53furnished them,
14:54and we are fully supporting them.
14:57People do this to us,
14:59when we started this program,
15:01Dr. Kashif Ansari,
15:02he is from Karachi,
15:04and you may know him,
15:06he is making a great drama.
15:08He contacted me,
15:09and he reached Egypt.
15:11When we took the first 100 children,
15:13we wanted to sponsor them.
15:15He said, I will do all of this.
15:16Mashallah.
15:17Alhamdulillah,
15:18all 100 children are taken care of.
15:20But the level at which they are being taken care of,
15:22is by looking at it.
15:23By keeping them in the best furnished apartments,
15:27which has all facilities.
15:28I have just been there,
15:29they have given each family a laptop.
15:32So that in Ramallah,
15:33the classes they have there,
15:35they can attend them too.
15:37I would like to say this,
15:39the people who are related to Al-Khidmat,
15:41not only in terms of money,
15:43or in terms of resources,
15:45but how they give their time.
15:47When we went for the Turkey earthquake,
15:49Iftikhar Sahib,
15:50who is in Peshawar,
15:51I saw that the children there,
15:53who were orphans in the Syrian war,
15:55and here in Ghazi Antab,
15:57they were being taken care of as a fatherly figure.
16:00They were getting barbecues,
16:02and they only go to meet them.
16:04So, in their place,
16:05this relationship with their cause,
16:07this is commendable.
16:09All the people who are related to Al-Khidmat.
16:11In this, Iqral bhai,
16:12it is good that you said this.
16:13What is the reason for this?
16:14The reason for this is,
16:15I am the president,
16:16I have 10 deputies,
16:175 assistant secretaries,
16:19and a whole team.
16:21After that,
16:22we have 10 regions,
16:23they have the same system.
16:24Then in 150 cities,
16:25we have offices.
16:27Their leadership,
16:29which is called office bearers,
16:31I am not talking about managerial staff,
16:33their number is 1,900.
16:35And these 1,900,
16:37including me,
16:38are 100% volunteers.
16:40100% volunteers.
16:42I am the dean of a medical college,
16:45Peshawar Medical College.
16:47I am the head of the medical,
16:48dental,
16:49and nursing colleges there.
16:50I run that.
16:51My earnings are from there.
16:53The whole system of Al-Khidmat is there.
16:56That is why,
16:57the work that we do here,
16:59we do it with a lot of love.
17:01We just want to get Allah's approval.
17:03Then we have a standard,
17:05that my children,
17:06who get a job,
17:07they should get it.
17:09Now when 10 children came,
17:11to receive them,
17:12my wife also came from Peshawar.
17:14She received both of us.
17:15Now Inshallah,
17:16we will treat them in Ramadan.
17:18We will do it on Eid as well.
17:19For your information,
17:20I spent the last two Eids in Egypt,
17:22with these Palestinian people.
17:24Bakri and Eid al-Fitr.
17:27Doctor,
17:28in the end,
17:29like you said,
17:30Al-Khidmat is the foundation of the nation.
17:35There is no other opinion in this.
17:37Those people,
17:38who support Al-Khidmat in any way,
17:43if you want to address them.
17:45The truth is,
17:46I want to thank them.
17:47I have love for them.
17:49I love them,
17:50that they do this work.
17:52Now,
17:53when they take care of orphans,
17:55I recite a poem to them.
17:56It is not a poem from me,
17:57it is a poem from the beloved Prophet.
17:59What is it?
18:00If you take care of an orphan,
18:02you will be with me in heaven.
18:04You indicated and said it.
18:06We made it a slogan.
18:07We made that Hadith a slogan.
18:09With the care of orphans,
18:11you will get the heaven,
18:12and the companionship of the Prophet.
18:14You will get the heaven,
18:16and the companionship of the Prophet.
18:18We have become a means for you.
18:20We love you,
18:22our people,
18:23our donors.
18:25They trust us.
18:27We assure them,
18:28that as long as we are alive,
18:29InshaAllah,
18:30every penny that you give,
18:32will be spent in the right way.
18:34And it will reach the right people.
18:36There is no doubt about it.
18:38And all of us,
18:40believe in this.
18:42There is no doubt about it.
18:44I will say it again,
18:45throughout Pakistan,
18:46wherever we saw,
18:48wherever there was a need,
18:49we found Al-Khidmat there.
18:51Even outside Pakistan,
18:52especially the Muslim Ummah,
18:54wherever they had a difficult time,
18:56wherever I had the opportunity to go,
18:58to cover, to help,
19:00Alhamdulillah,
19:01we saw Al-Khidmat there as well.
19:03There is no doubt about it,
19:05Alhamdulillah,
19:06Alhamdulillah,
19:07Al-Khidmat is raising our heads with pride.
19:09In the Islamic world as well.
19:10Alhamdulillah.
19:11InshaAllah.
19:12Thank you very much for the introduction.
19:14InshaAllah,
19:15when this lamp is lit,
19:16it will be light.
19:17All of you light your own lamps.
19:19You saw,
19:20how wide the scope is.
19:21In Pakistan as well,
19:22and especially outside Pakistan,
19:23the issue of Ghaza is obvious.
19:24We are very close to the hearts of all of us.
19:26So, strengthen the tradition of Al-Khidmat,
19:28InshaAllah.
19:29Thank you very much.
19:30After a break,
19:31InshaAllah,
19:32JazakAllah.
19:33I would like to say one thing,
19:34that I go to different programs,
19:36but whenever I do a program with both of you brothers,
