00:00We are here with Tadej Pogacar
00:30I don't know always how it goes but yeah
00:32maybe last year I saw that
00:34it's maybe too much to go
00:36along 80 kilometers
00:38but you never know
00:40we'll see how the race develops
00:42it's really unlucky that they
00:44had one extra lap
00:46after the Santa Maria
00:48and then you have
00:50very long to go from there
00:52so we will see
00:54we can play also a bit tactical
00:56with the team and we have
00:58strong team, many good riders
01:00and even somebody else
01:02can try maybe
01:04We have Nibali Bettini-Fontes here in studio
01:06do you want to ask something?
01:08A curiosity
01:10Tadej
01:12we spoke about
01:14the tires
01:16which kind of tires do you want
01:18to have tomorrow
01:20the size and the pressure?
01:22I think
01:24I run with
01:26Continental tires
01:2830 millimeters
01:30pressure is
01:323.3 and 3.5
01:34bar
01:36in the wheels
01:38nothing crazy, just a bit lower
01:40pressure to have the grip
01:42on the
01:44gravel and that's all
01:46and just hopefully
01:48no punctures
01:50Continental tires
01:52are pretty good
01:54we are in safe hands
01:56sorry, in the tire
01:58do you have the sponge or without sponge?
02:00sorry?
02:02inside the tube or without?
02:04without the tube
02:06just a sticky thing
02:08if you puncture
02:10the sealant
02:12Tadej
02:14did you try
02:16the Paris-Roubaix
02:18the cobblestones
02:20do you prefer cobblestones or gravel?
02:22I think for now
02:24I prefer gravel
02:26because for example
02:28gravel here in Strade has a lot of climbs
02:30so that suits me much better
02:32but cobblestones
02:34are also super good
02:36I tried them and I really like
02:38I can find myself
02:40pretty good
02:42on those terrains
02:44but for now gravel is better
02:46Paolo, curiosity
02:48just a greeting
02:50thank you
02:56I'm looking very much forward
02:58of course yesterday we checked the course already
03:00it's a really nice course
03:02the gravel is really smooth this year
03:06I'm looking very much forward
03:08and the place where I attack
03:10I will keep it a secret
03:12I have already something in mind
03:14so you are not going to do like Pogacar last year
03:16who promised to attack
03:18at 80 km
03:20so you told me that
03:22it's smooth
03:24the gravel is pretty smooth
03:26I think it's because it's pretty long dry
03:28and today is also really good weather
03:30so it's not so much loose gravel
03:32some sections are a bit new gravel
03:34but the most of the gravel sections
03:36are really smooth
03:38so it will be an easy race
03:40you are telling this
03:42no, I don't think it will be easy
03:44compared to previous years
03:46but anyways I think
03:48it will be a good hard race, I hope
03:50but the gravel is not super hard
03:52this year
03:58you are fully back at the road race
04:00it looks like
04:02I think this race suits perfectly on you
04:04it's a kind of hybrid race
04:06so I think it's perfect for you
04:08you are one of the favorites for sure
04:10so tell me about tomorrow
04:14I will say it's the first goal
04:16of the season
04:18I start racing in URA
04:20just to start
04:22racing and to fill the bunch
04:24and after that I went
04:26in altitude to prepare
04:28as good as possible this race
04:30so for sure I'm really motivated
04:32and I want to do good
04:34so for sure
04:36one of your advantages
04:38could be that you are a good
04:40a really good biker
04:42you can
04:44ride really good
04:46on the gravel road
04:48so do you think that
04:50it could be really an advantage for you
04:52yeah for sure
04:54I'm not afraid
04:56I would say it's not the same
04:58handling as on the MTB
05:00but yeah
05:02I also
05:04you know I also train for that
05:06we went to do the recon here a few weeks ago
05:08so I also accept
05:10you know when the bike is sliding a bit
05:12just to let it move
05:14so I feel
05:16yeah I can feel good the gravel road
05:18so I think it will be really important tomorrow
05:20because it will be very hectic
05:22also
05:24and I also train
05:26for this kind of climbs
05:28so I'm very curious
05:30to see how I can be tomorrow
05:32ok thank you good luck for tomorrow
05:40you
