00:04successfully established its free Wi-Fi for all site in the municipality of
00:08San Chedoro in Oriental Mindoro. Joshua Sugay of Philippine Information

00:21These were the challenges faced by the Philippine Information Agency Oriental
00:25Mindoro team in reaching one of the most remote
00:27indigenous people's communities in the province.
00:30The journey was made to document the successful implementation of the
00:34Department of Information and Communication Technology's
00:37free Wi-Fi for all site at the Ecological Public Secondary School
00:41Arigoye Extension in the municipality of San Chedoro.
00:44This project aims to introduce and train indigenous students
00:47in technology by providing free internet access to their school.
00:51The free Wi-Fi for all program has significantly transformed
00:54the learning experience of students and teachers at Arigoye Mangyan School.
00:58According to them, accessing educational and communication materials
01:02used to be difficult. Now, they can utilize online resources,
01:07participate in virtual learning, and expand their knowledge
01:10to better prepare for the challenges of the modern world.
01:24Teachers have also benefited from the initiative
01:34as they can now easily access updated teaching materials,
01:38communicate with different education agencies, and improve their instructional
01:42methods. Through the free Wi-Fi for all program
01:45and other assistance from the Department of Information and
01:48Communication Technology, the dreams of indigenous students here in
01:53Arigoye, San Chedoro are gradually becoming true.
