00:00In terms of the success you had there, what are the key things you're trying to replicate and bring here that may be missing or not quite as much as you had there?
00:09It's totally different, different club, different set-up, different problems. The easy bits are always the football, the consistent bit is always the football. Working with players is the best bit.
00:23When I said the bits I've been pleased about with us and the level of consistency with that and it's almost like a given we have to perform this way or we won't be happy, I think that's a big thing and we managed to get Sheffield United again.
00:39The difference is we could win games when we weren't at our best. We're still having to be dominant. That's been the difference and that's back to you.
00:49What you want to do in the summer, how can we improve? That's the biggest way we can improve. Not let any of our levels drop. Get recruitment right, options right so that we turn half those draws into wins and you're 16 points better off than where we'd be.
01:06That's how fine the margins are and no-one who's watched us can say that we haven't deserved to win at least eight of those games. It's one thing saying you deserve it, the difference with the teams at the very top to us at the minute is they make it happen and probably win a lot more games that they don't deserve to win.
01:26Are there similar feels to the two clubs in terms of they're up north, the fans, the tradition and history? They've obviously had better times.
01:33Yes, better times so there's a bigger expectation there. In terms of what the fans would like to see, I think there's definite similarities. I think sometimes people complicate football. No matter what they say, they want to see the same thing. They want to see the team giving their best, trying their best, trying to win the game and everyone responds well to that.
02:00Were you not able to go back as a fan because it was the same season you'd left and then you went straight back into work this year?
02:05Yes, I just never had the opportunity. I was busy working the first year and then I probably wouldn't have. If I hadn't have come in here in August, I would have definitely been back by now. Then you just get swallowed up in working. When I've been out watching games, I've never been back to Bramall Lane. It's just been that way. As I say, it's just a game tomorrow, a big game, a good game for us.
02:33Just because I'm back for the first time, people will talk about it but it'll be a different feeling if I did go back in three months' time but as a fan, just watching a game or whatever, then be relaxed and catch up with people tomorrow. No, it'll be about trying to get points.
02:46How good is it to have your captain back in and around it as a player?
02:49Yes, good. We've been struggling of late in terms of the injuries. Just everything. I say it all the time, I want everyone fit but one of the questions you always get asked when everyone's fit is how do you pick the teams and tough decisions. I take that every day of the week for lots of reasons.
03:07Imagine the work you can do in the week and the quality of training all week and how you're preparing and the consistent messages you're getting to people when you're missing them for months at a time. They feel like they're falling behind. The team's progressed, you're having to recap things. You'd much rather have them fully fit all the time.
03:24You can see when we had all those options from the bench at that moment in time, it did half help us get over the line in some games. I don't think it's a coincidence, we had some really comfortable wins in those times when we had a fully fit or as near as we have this season, a fully fit squad where you're bringing good experience on.
03:47With the injuries, do you feel like there's little you could have done with most of them or is it something you're looking at?
03:53I go back to my time, Robbie with his ankle and his ribs, Ben with his ankle, Jordan with his ankle, Dwayne with his broken leg. It's the soft tissue injuries that you always think you can do more of. There's been a pattern here, we've just been speaking about it this time of year with soleus injuries, calf injuries like Ali's between December and March when the pitches get heavier. That's been a pattern over the last few years that's been flagged up.
04:20So it's things like that that you're trying to alter. The other bit is one or two players I've had bad luck this season, but that's part and parcel. The injury situation is not going to get any better, believe you or me. The way the game's going, the amount of games, the nature of the way the games are played now and what's expected from a player, I think substitutes are going to become even more important and that's back to the squad and how we use it.
04:48How rare is not naming a team? Have you done it before?
04:51Yeah, quite a few times. It's just an easy answer for you guys!
