00:30If you look at the statistics right now, most young women don't have a space in which they
00:44can amplify their voices and express some of their challenges and opinions.
00:50And I believe that Girls Gone Political is looking to bridge that gap.
01:13I as a woman can dare to lead, and me being a woman daring to lead is not an invitation
01:18for violence.
01:19It doesn't mean I'm trying to challenge anything.
01:21I'm just trying to challenge the narrative that a woman is meant for the kitchen.
01:25I can be on the spotlight.
01:40To encourage any young person that is watching this, any young woman, that if you believe,
01:47if you pray, if you really claim your spaces, you'll be able to ensure that you are at the
01:53table.
01:55And like one civic leader in the USA once said, is if you're not invited at the table,
02:03you need to carry your chair.
02:04So young people need to be very intentional as things are.
02:08Power will never be thrust upon you, and we just need to find a way to be confident and
02:14to dominate the spaces.
