00:00Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has warned the public, especially leaders of political parties,
00:07against exploiting religious issues for mileage.
00:11He said the government will not compromise with those who play up 3R issues.
00:17Anwar said national leaders risk destroying the nation if they continue to exploit these
00:21issues for personal gain.
00:24He also said those who fail to comply with his warning will face legal consequences.
00:30However, Anwar did not direct the warning to anyone in particular.
00:35Three DJs recently sparked outrage after they mocked the Kabaddi ritual, leading to the
00:39trio being suspended and investigated by police.
00:44The controversy also led to independent preacher Zamri Vinod stating that Hindu worshippers
00:49performing the Kabaddi ritual looked like they were possessed and drunk on dodi.
00:54In response, MIC Deputy President M Saravanan and former Deputy Law and Institutional Reform
01:00Minister Ram Karpal Singh called for authorities to take immediate action against Zamri.
