00:00I think this ring might have saved my life yesterday.
00:02Paralympian Hunter Woodall is revealing he rushed into surgery.
00:06The truck star shares that he traveled to Utah to spend time with his dad following
00:10his open heart surgery.
00:12While driving up to his parents' home, Hunter says that his stomach started to hurt, but
00:16he immediately assumed it was the blue cheese he ate, given his severe lactose intolerance.
00:21Hunter says this in his March 5th Instagram post.
00:24When I got to my parents' house, I didn't even have time to say hey to them because
00:27my stomach was hurting so bad, so I just went downstairs.
00:30And I figured it was because of the cheese I had on my salad, but this was so much worse
00:34than anything I have ever experienced.
00:36I was throwing up all night.
00:37Tossing and turning all night, the Olympic athlete woke up to notifications on his Oura
00:42ring, with his health stats looking off.
00:44But what caught me off guard is a symptom radar that had major signs that something
00:49was wrong with my body.
00:50And I've been wearing this ring for four years and I've never seen this, so it instantly
00:53caught me off guard.
00:54They told me that my resting heart rate was increased, my body temperature was increased,
00:58and my HRV was increased.
01:00Ultimately, Hunter's mom decided to take him to the hospital, where they found out
01:04his appendix is extremely enlarged.
01:07So they prepped me for surgery, they got me in, everything went really well, and today
01:11I have three new incision scars.
01:15I got one there on my belly button, got another one right there, a third one right there.
01:19However, the gold medal winner says he is now on his way to recovery.
01:24I'm doing great.
01:25Thank you guys for all the prayers and thoughts yesterday.
01:27My dad is doing great as well.
01:29I came here to recover with him for his surgery and now we're going to be recovering together.
