00:00We have seen overnight a delay in terms of when the tropical cyclone is due to cross the coast.
00:08This does not mean, however, that there is any reduction in terms of the severity of
00:15this future event. In fact, now we're already seeing rainfall at significant levels.
00:20If you are warned to evacuate, follow the orders of the emergency services.
00:26Do not drive through floodwaters. Make sure that you use this opportunity of the delay
00:33to have a little bit more time to prepare for that possible evacuation over the next 24 hours.
00:41We are already seeing the impacts of significant winds and coastal surge.
00:46We're already seeing the impacts of damaging winds and we are already seeing,
00:51as we've just heard, the impacts of the rainfall and early river rises.
00:57Our key message to the community is twofold. One is prepare your current location or relocate
01:06early. We currently have 24 warnings out in terms of prepare to evacuate. Based on the
01:14current projections and the current rainfall, we believe later today some of those low-lying
01:19communities will be receiving an emergency warning to evacuate. I want to emphasise that
01:27we are seeing the impacts of the rainfall and the winds as we speak. The community has been
01:34tremendous in terms of their responsiveness and reaction and they continue to work with the
01:39enormous thousands of emergency services personnel from across all agencies, led by the State
01:45Emergency Service, coordinated locally and supported from the State in terms of current activities.
