00:00I want to take this opportunity to announce the latest lawsuit that I'm
00:29leading alongside seven Democratic attorneys general against the Trump
00:34administration after it unlawfully terminated education grants for
00:39California and for other states across the nation. Grants that in California
00:44total by our estimation 148 million dollars and between all states
00:50represented in this lawsuit total at least 250 million dollars so across the
00:55plaintiff states in this case. For those who've lost count this is now the sixth
01:01time we've been forced to sue the president since his term began just over
01:06six weeks ago. Disheartening and disappointing yes but not at all
01:44Terminating these education grants is a clear violation of the
01:55Administrative Procedure Act as we've set forth in our complaint which is why
02:00we're suing the Trump administration and we're seeking a temporary restraining
02:05order to prevent further disruptions. Meaning we are asking the court to
02:10immediately halt these cuts and require that this funding continues to flow into
02:15California and the other states who have brought suit.
02:40Sadly the people Trump's hurting most of all are our kids. Kids in rural areas
03:03kids in urban areas kids in high-poverty communities and high need
03:10schools. Kids who need and deserve extra support and additional resources. Kids
03:17just trying to learn math and just trying to learn science. That's who Trump
03:24is hurting with this action.
03:33So then we find the value of X being no help. So give me a thumbs up if you know
03:43you're like man I'm gonna 100% I'm gonna get it.
