00:00The economic cure-all pill of Jobs, Jobs, Jobs has improved the overall health of the Filipino working world and jobs market of late.

00:34It's an addition to the education of the children.

00:37She has completed her training and is now just waiting for a few requirements to start a new job.

00:44It's really important to have training so that you're aware of the products you're holding.

00:50So that when you're in front of a customer, you can explain to them what your product is and how good it is and how they can be satisfied.

00:59According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the number of Filipinos with jobs has increased from 45.9 million last year.

01:08The figure rose to 48.49 million in January 2025.

01:14Meanwhile, the country's unemployment rate dropped to 4.3% this January, down 4.5% from last year.

01:21The underemployment rate also dipped to 13.3%, from 13.7%.

01:27Under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr., the government has focused on skills development.

01:35The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority has been providing Filipinos with trainings to improve their employability.

01:42In 2024, 1,081,375 Filipinos received certifications after training with TESTA.

01:51Other government offices are also helping improve skills in fields like technology, preparing Filipinos to meet international demand.

01:59Through the Information and Communications Technology Academy program of the DICT, 943 training sessions have been conducted for over 90,000 government employees.

02:11Because of this, Filipinos will have more job opportunities and a higher quality of life.

02:22More businessmen will invest to help strengthen our economy.

02:31President Marquez's signing of the CREATE MORE Act has also helped improve incentives and policies for both local and foreign investors.

02:40The law is expected to help boost investments in the country, leading to creation of more jobs, better living status for Filipinos, and further economic growth.
