00:00News that's coming in from the state of Tamil Nadu at the moment. It's the
00:03Enforcement Directorate that is conducting searches at various locations.
00:08Close to 10 locations are being searched and these are premises linked to Minister
00:13Senthil Balaji. This is a money laundering case that the Enforcement
00:16Directorate at the moment is searching. Enforcement Directorate conducting
00:21searches at close to 10 places. These places have links to Tamil Nadu Minister
00:26Senthil Balaji. It's a money laundering case that the Enforcement Directorate is
00:30at the moment investigating. Some private individuals, a government contractor, they
00:35are also being searched at the moment. So this is simultaneous searches that are
00:39now taking place. It's the Enforcement Directorate which is conducting these
00:43searches at over 10 locations. My colleague Munish Pandey is now joining
00:47me on the story. Munish, from what we understand close to 10 places are being
00:50raided simultaneously by the Enforcement Directorate and these places have links
00:55to the Minister Senthil Balaji.
01:00Given to understand by our sources within the Enforcement Directorate is that almost
01:04one dozen locations have been covered by the Enforcement Directorate and searches
01:08are going on. At this point of time we have no clarity in which case the ED is
01:14conducting searches but what we have been given to understand is that this is
01:17a separate money laundering case in which Tamil Nadu Minister Senthil
01:22Balaji has been named. Remember earlier he was arrested and later on he was
01:27jailed, you know, in a separate money laundering case. The court granted him
01:32bail recently and now ED has lost a separate money laundering case in which
01:37not only Tamil Nadu Minister Senthil Balaji but also certain private
01:42individuals, some middlemen and government contractors are also being
01:47searched. The ED claims that this is a very, this is a primary stage of the
01:53investigation. They gathered evidence and based on those evidence they
01:57have acted and that is why these searches are being conducted at various
02:01locations in Tamil Nadu. You know, in some time it is expected that three to
02:07four more locations will also be covered by the Enforcement Directorate because
02:11the searches have just started and later on what we are picking up from our
02:16sources is that to gather more evidence not only Senthil Balaji's premises but
02:20also his close associates, some private individuals and government contractors
02:25will also be searched by the ED. Thank You Muneesh giving us those details.
02:29Muneesh also saying that this is just the beginning we will see more searches
02:34being conducted across the state of Tamil Nadu. So far from what we
02:37understand 10 locations, locations which have links to the Minister Senthil
02:42Balaji are being searched by the Enforcement Directorate in the state of
02:45Tamil Nadu.
