00:00While the next series of arcane seems to be based in Noxus, what we could see is this series
00:07opening up with a vibrant scene in Ionia. This tranquil land has cherry blossoms falling
00:13gracefully and as one of them softly lands to the ground it is contrasted with the banging
00:18of war drums and the roars we hear from the Noxian army. You see this beautiful land of Ionia
00:25specifically in the Placidium is being ravaged by Swain's forces. They have no respect for the
00:31sacred grounds or the beautiful forests. This is about an empire that wants to take over,
00:37namely Noxus. In the midst of all this chaos we see a raven hovering above the scene watching how
00:45everything plays out. We hear Swain's voice in narrator mode and he says the following
00:49Every empire demands sacrifice and this very sacrifice will complete my vision. As we begin
00:55to see the Noxian forces overwhelm the Ionians of Navori, then suddenly the battle begins to swing
01:03as glimmers of some blades can be seen dancing and slicing through the Noxians. And this is the
01:09moment where some of us fans realize what's going on and we begin to get hyped because we know who
01:16this character is. But she continues to tear up the Noxian forces and they fall one by one. A 14
01:22year old girl named Aurelia, one who is very attuned with her own spiritual energy, so much so
01:29that she has mastered a form of telekinesis. She begins to foil Swain's plans and in his ignorance
01:37or arrogance he charges at the girl. But this is met with a flurry of rapid and vicious attacks
01:44from the hurricane of blades that surround her. And at this very penultimate moment of the battle
01:50after Aurelia has cut through about a dozen of Swain's veterans, he decisively swipes at the young
01:57Ionian girl. But in response she unleashes her sacred blade dance technique and severs his arm
02:04from its socket. All we can see at first as the audience is how fast this all happens. We just
02:09see a flash. Then we see the slow-mo shot of his arm flying in the air. This girl has mopped the
02:15floor with one of Nox's finest generals. Before she can finish the job though something in Swain's
02:20eyes distract her. She suddenly senses a delicate change with the spiritual energy within and around
02:27her. She decides not to kill this man anymore but to leave him to his fate. For him to bleed out on
02:34the battlefield that he created. Jericho Swain has failed his invasion of Ionia and is now left to
02:40bleed out in defeat. As his blood begins to circle around him so do the ravens in the sky. They are
02:46his death flag. He will not survive this encounter. But then one of them lands very close to him,
02:52settles right beside him and begins to telepathically speak to him showing him visions of
02:59Noxus, Mordekaiser, visions of Leblanc. The raven tells him that it can show him more if he is
03:06willing to pay the price. Swain gripping onto his last breath and holding on to his ambition says
03:14show me. In the strongest voice he can muster up considering he is about to die. From this moment
03:20on we see him transform. His arm beginning to glow. He is saved by this raven and he now has a pact
03:28with a demon named Ram. This Ram figure is no ordinary demon. He feeds on secrets and truths,
03:36the kind of dark hidden knowledge that can topple empires or expose people's deepest fears. Swain
03:44strikes a deal with this entity, offering Ram a bond in exchange for power and insight. Through
03:51this pact Swain gains access to visions of hidden truths and otherworldly connections
03:57to the demon's ability. But it came at a cost. You see Ram's presence now lives within Swain and
04:05throughout this new series this presence, this essence of Ram itself is continuously testing
04:11Swain, looking for a weakness, looking for a way to escape from this man's control. You see Ram
04:19isn't Swain's servant and he isn't Swain's friend. It's more like an uneasy allegiance between the
04:25both of them. Ram constantly whispers truths and doubts into Swain's mind. But Jericho Swain is no
04:31ordinary man. You see his ambition and his willpower are so great that he survived death
04:37and now he uses those same two aspects of him to survive this pact with Ram. In fact I shouldn't
04:44say he survives it, he thrives off it. He uses the power he now has. Next time we see Swain in the
04:51series his desire for control and his great ambition for Noxus has him embark on a journey
04:57to Piltover with his Trifarian forces in search of someone that can create weapons from this Hextech
05:03gemstone that he found at the end of Arcane. He finds a man who's obsessed with recovering his
05:09daughter's spirit after he managed to revive her body but not the part of her he really wanted,
05:15her soul. An alchemist of great talent, Doctor Revik or Singed as we all know him. He takes
05:22him back to Noxus after Demacia makes their presence known in Piltover, acting as a petricide
05:28thorn to Swain's plans. Demacia has made themselves political allies and protectors of Piltover. The
05:35leadership of Piltover and Zorn now despise the Noxians. There is no pact to be made between the
05:43two given what Ambessa and her forces did to the city. Swain, seeing that Demacia continues to be
05:48a problem for him, hires an elite assassin named Katarina to kill Jarvan Lightshield III,
05:55who is the current king of Demacia. The series and a future video of mine will explain how that
06:01all goes. However, his grip and his control over Noxus begins to slip as well as LeBlanc, Vladimir
06:08and the other members of the Black Rose begin to undermine his authority over Noxus as its
06:14Grand General. LeBlanc has never forgiven Swain for usurping power from Boram Darkwill, the previous
06:21leader of Noxus. Darkwill was controllable, he was her puppet, but Swain's mentality and his
06:28personality is a threat to her. He is controlled only by his own vision for Noxus. We might have
06:34already seen some of the war play out when Swain was usurping the throne. In this scene with
06:39Ambessa in Rockrune, we can see that Noxian arrows took down her forces, implying some infighting.
06:45Meanwhile, Ambessa at this time was pregnant with Mal and she passed down something to Mal that
06:50LeBlanc really needs. Swain and LeBlanc's clash creates an interesting political cold war
06:58in Noxus, with secret societies, noble families and military all involved. He is the Tywin Lannister
07:06of Arcane's sequel series. Throughout the series, flashbacks help contextualize his hunger for power
07:12and the hard lessons that he had to learn to hold on to it. Things like his childhood and the
07:18rebellion of the Noxian port city of Basilisk have left an imprint on him. Even though Basilisk
07:24rebelled against him, he trusts one of its former residents, the leader of the Principle of Might
07:30in Noxus, a man named Darius. He is one of the three leaders of Noxus, Swain being one and the
07:36other one being a faceless figure who we don't know. Swain knows that both him and Darius value
07:42different things, but he is a pillar of strength to Noxus and no adversary to him, leaving him in a
07:49zone that Swain can trust. This and more is all what we can expect from Jericho Swain's involvement
07:55in the next series of Arcane. His hunger for power will lead him to Piltover in search for more of it.
08:01He will tamper with the Arcane and possibly throw the world into ruin. But we can't be sure about
08:07that because this is all speculation at this point. What we can be sure about is that Jericho
08:12Swain is no emperor, he is something far more unique and dangerous. A man who sees the world,
08:19not as it is, but as it could be. And in Noxus where strength is the only law, he is the raven
08:26above all of them, who waits, watches and hopefully for him, wins. Let me know what
