A smallholder who cares for 140 rescue animals has won a two-year battle to remain at her sanctuary in the Scottish Borders.
Tracey Milton, who moved to the five-acre site from Somerset, was told by enforcement officers she had no right to live there despite the previous owner being granted permission.
After a legal fight, Scottish Borders Council’s review committee ruled she could stay for life.
Tracey, who has chronic COPD and depression, says the decision ensures she can continue caring for her animals and hopes to offer visits to those with disabilities and mental health issues.
