02:24More than a dozen Lancashire schools are to take part in a government programme piloting breakfast clubs.
02:32Ministers have pledged to roll out the scheme nationwide, but are first doing so in 750 primary facilities from April.
02:41All children in the school will be able to access a free breakfast and at least 30 minutes of free childcare every day.
02:48The idea is to help support parents into work by enabling them to drop their children off half an hour earlier and ensure no child starts the school day hungry.
03:00Schools will be encouraged to offer healthy, varied and nutritious breakfasts, from wheat brisks and porridge to fresh fruit and yoghurt.
03:09Activities like arts and crafts, educational puzzles, reading and more will also be on offer.
