00:00You have a green card, this is a gold card.
00:02The United States is introducing a new gold card program for companies and people to create
00:08jobs and move to the country.
00:10The Donald Trump administration said on Tuesday the program will possibly start in two weeks.
00:16We're going to be doing something else that's going to be very, very good.
00:19We're going to be putting a price on that card of about $5 billion, and that's going
00:23to give you green card privileges plus.
00:26It's going to be a route to citizenship, and wealthy people will be coming into our
00:31country by buying this card.
00:32They'll be wealthy, and they'll be successful, and they'll be spending a lot of money and
00:36paying a lot of taxes and employing a lot of people.
00:40And we think it's going to be extremely successful.
00:42I think companies will pay to get people in.
00:44For instance, you today graduate from the Wharton School of Finance or Harvard or Stanford
00:53or any college, and nobody knows if you can even go to work for a company.
00:58So Apple and all these companies that want to get people to be working for them will
01:04be able to buy a card for the people that are number one in their class at top schools.
01:10Trump said his administration had worked everything out from the legal standpoint, and even oligarchs
01:15from Russia and other countries may be able to join the program.
01:19Yeah, possibly.
01:20Hey, I know some Russian oligarchs that are very nice people.
01:24It's possible.
01:25They're not quite as wealthy as they used to be.
01:30They're not as wealthy as they used to be.
01:32I think they could afford $5 million.
01:36The introduction of the program is seen to have come at the right time when more companies
01:40have pledged to invest in the U.S.
01:43Apple said it will commit $500 billion in investments in the U.S. in the next four years.
01:49The tech giant said this will include a factory in Texas for artificial intelligence servers
01:54and add about 20,000 research and development jobs.
01:58Many of Apple's products that are assembled in China could face 10 percent tariffs imposed
02:03by the U.S., though the company had secured some waivers from China tariffs in the first
02:08Trump administration.
02:10Trump had said other computer chip and automobile companies are also stopping their factories
02:15in other countries and building them in the U.S. instead as they do not want to pay tariffs.
